Weapon Trait to Remove Enemy Buffs

Hello, I'm looking to create a weapon called the Dispel Staff.
On a normal attack, I'd like for it to remove any buffs an enemy may have. (or as a set % chance to remove them)
I see this is possible via the Skills UI on the Param tab. "Remove Debuff".

Even using a State via the weapon when attacking to set the foe's HP, MP, Atk... Rate to 100% doesn't remove the Buff icon from the enemy which is was I'm looking for.

What you're doing right now won't negate the effect of the buffs or debuffs, either, because it's multiplicative- a rate of 100% is just multiplying the stat by 1.00, while the buff is also multiplying it by, for example, 1.25, and 1.00*1.25 is still going to be 1.25.

The simplest way without a plugin is not to use actual buffs or debuffs- instead, you'd make a state called "Attack Buff" or something, give it the icon you want, set to expire when you want, and make it multiply their Atk by 125%, or so. Then, your "dispel" state just has to make them Resist the Attack Buff state (not setting state rate to 0%, the actual "Resist State" option) so it will get automatically cured. This does remove the ability to make your buff states stack with multiple applications, though.

Or you could set up something with Yanfly's Buffs & States Core to make the "dispel" state run code to remove debuffs upon application- that's a Lunatic Mode setup, but if you look through the Tips & Tricks on his youtube, you might find some other ideas on how to do stuff.

Thanks, yeah. I do remember on a previous project I did the Buffs/Debuffs as States route.
Because of not being able to Stack with multiple application, I was hoping to just use the straight Buff/Debuff mechanics.
I do have Yanfly's Buffs & States Core installed so I'll see if his Youtube has any tips and tricks to accomplish this.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
