I noticed that when a skill is learned through Yanfly's skill learn plugin, it never show MP cost, yet I've worked on that part in skill database.

are yanfly's plugins in the correct order?
That is the first question whenever one of ynfly's plugins behaves strangely

Yes. I make sure they're in correct order before using them.

That's weird. I've used Yanfly skill learn system, and I've even used other plugins that allow for skills to be learned (along with Yanfly skill core), and I've never had that issue.

If you put skill learn system, and whichever other plugins required, into a new project do you have the same issue?

if the order is correct, we need screenshots of the problem and of your plugin manager to look for incompatibilities or other causes.

If you're talking about how, after you learn a skill, the cost is covered in in the skill learn menu by the word "Learned" then that's just how it behaves:

But if the cost doesn't show anywhere else, then that's a problem and we'll need more info in order to deal with it.

Oh.. Now that I think about it, it doesn't even show the cost in the Learn menu either :kaoswt2:

What else do you want to know further?

Post a screenshot of your skill learn menu, then a shot of the skills in the normal skill menu once learned.

Edit: A screenshot of your skill learn plugin params would be ideal too

Since it's already late, I'll call it a day.

Thank you, and sorry in advance!

Well when you get back, if you disable the learn skill plugin completely and force-teach a skill to the actor using the F8 debug console...
Code:
// replace 1 with the actor's id and 15 with the skill's id
$gameActors.actor(1).learnSkill(15)
...does it show the mp cost normally? I ask because I don't think what's going on is the result of the skill learn plugin.

Wait. I didn't use the code since I don't understand where to type it down but, even after I turned the learn skill plugin off, it still doesn't show MP cost at all despite with the notetag, or with the skill editor.

The code just goes into the debug window (thing that appears when you press F8) as a way to teach a skill to an actor on the fly for testing purposes. If you already have skills on them, then there's no need to use it.

If MP costs still aren't showing even with the learn skill plugin off, then it's something else. Try turning off a few plugins at a time (especially those related to skill displays) until you find the problem.

Before I do that, I've made extra skills without any notetags for another actor, and surprise surprise. It shows MP costs perfectly.
For some reason, I can't upload any image :kaoswt2:

can you show the note tags of the skill learned?

you might have a type or other minor mistake that it doesn't show correctly.
maybe the event where you learn it? or level?

These are the only things I can think of at this point:
  1. You have a lot of plugins from a lot of different plugin developers, so it's possible some are causing conflicts with yanfly's <MP Cost: x> tag. Try turning off those other plugins. Or better yet, make a new project with only a few yanfly plugins, then copy/paste that skill into the new project. Does the MP cost show in that new project?
  2. There could be some note tag code messing things up that we can't see. Please post the entire note tag text, as in just copy/paste the entire note into a post.
#1 seems like the most likely problem though.

Oh, I forgot that exist. Sorry :LZSlol:
This is the Class notetag
Code:
<Subclass Only>
<Require Class: 5>
<Learn Skill: 56>
<Custom Class Parameters>
   maxhp = level * 30 + 300;
   maxmp = level * 30 + 350;
   atk = level * 15 + 18;
   def = level * 11 + 16;
   mat = level * 12 + 25;
   mdf = level * 9 + 13;
   agi = level * 15 + 27;
   luk = level * 10 + 12;
   exp = level * 100;
  </Custom Class Parameters>
And this is the Skill's one:
Code:
<Require Subclass: 7>
<MP Cost: 4%>
<Learn Require Level: 1>
<Learn Cost: 100 Gold>
<Learn Cost>
   Item 15: 1
   Item 31: 4
  </Learn Cost>
I think it might be the 1st problem as well, but, some of the plugins are already off, and the ones that are on have nothing to do with skill.

Always double check your plugin order.

Finally! I've been puzzling over why it wasn't working for two days now. Turns out all of my calculations were correct, I just forgot to give some events hitboxes. :kaoswt: Now my randomly generated maps check for collision errors, and move stuff around in real time if they finds any. :LZSexcite:
