What's the weirdest thing that you think could happen in a video game or has happened?
Half the plots of JRPGs.
Weirdest thing that could happen would be EA releasing a game that doesn't need day 1 patch
You are a general in the English army. It is 1300. Everyone all over the world talks about an evil warrior who ransacks villages and rapes wives. You set out on a quest to fight the evil warrior. The evil warrior's location is not known, so you head to Italy to get information. Upon reaching Italy, you are put in jail. It turns out all those rumors were about you.
Also, you are a time-displaced Hitler.
Cute beaver galactic pirate alien beavers who are ruled by a fat pirate who wants the power of gummies to summon the planet eating butterfly
-The plot of Magical starsign.
Getting my ass mauled by a NORMAL DEER on Etrian Odyssey 1 a few months back...
A videogame character technically having enough power to blow up the universe, if he charges his power long enough. However, his power is limited to 255 in an 8-bit world or 65535 in a 16-bit world. That is why there can never be a Kid Radd on XBONE, PS4, or even the Wii U.
"Wha-!?" Screen lingers on protagonist's face for the next 30 seconds, cycling through the same three frames.
"What do you mean the dream fish monster is my father!?"
Pretty much the whole Desmond thing in assassin's creed. Seriously liked that game until they started talking about magic apples that stop peoples hearts and viewing your ancestors through your dna... good game with terrible plot concept.
Also a female protagonist that isn't fan-service or an idiot or probably both... it's only weird because it never happens though, it wouldn't be weird by itself...
Final Fantasy 8 was another one, the first two disks were a really decent narrative... then you kind of get the idea that the dev's were told "it needs to be longer, just write whatever as fast as you can and we'll throw it in there"
Bird-type pokémon with two Water gun moves aka Missingno. Probably not the weirdest I've seen but let me do a little more of brain scanning...
It's a "bug" that "works"!
The fact that this game exists.
Also, item drops. When you killed a wolf, where in the world did that bow came from? How did you scavenge the corpse of a dead little bunny, only to find a +5 Sword of Epicness??!
Me: *playing Dragon Quest IX*
Me: *makes a Priest named Raphael, after the angel of divine protection and healing*
Me: Yeah this is the best idea ever, my Priest is gonna be awesome! *hits Enter*
DQ9: Sorry, that name isn't allowed.
Me: Umm... WHAT???
Seriously, I understand why they won't let you name your characters curse words, but RAPHAEL!? What if that's the player's OWN NAME? Tough luck? I don't get that one at all. There's not even any character in the game named Raphael...
Getting a game that isn't a complete mess (Rome 2) on release or getting a game that isn't a complete mess but is also so bad that there's no chance it'll be saved (X: Rebirth) on release.
One Steve Limit
Raphael has to be in there somewhere.
Katamari Damaci took away my voice due to the...bizarreness of it all.
Priest don't do so well in DQIX,die way more then they heal,at least in my campaign.Does Michael,Gabriel or Urial work?
Who are we kidding? The plot of every JRPG.
Still think the weirdest JRPG I played was Wizard of Oz:Beyond the yellow brick road, weird, bad and annoying.
