5 days to create a short game. Challenge accepted - maybe.

@GamesOfShadows Good luck :3 might be a really short game. But sometimes the shortest jokes are the best. Not thinking your game will be a joke, thought. Hope you'll get a genius strike!

@Marquise* Thank you! I will try to make a "Horror" Escape-Game with many different minigames and puzzles... but it will be a "stupid" game (it's also called "The Stupid Escape").
- As you have already said: I'm just going to do a preview / a very short game and eventually finish it someday.

Just to triple-check, demos are okay, right? I searched the thread and the answer seems "yes" but paranoia!

I might be able to finish it but if Saturday comes around and stuff is looking iffy, I want to know if I'm able to cut it off 3/5 of the way.

edit: was told it'd be okay.

I wanna asking something due the 1st rules:
"Pre-existing assets that were not created specifically for the contest are allowed."
that's mean, I can use the free assets (BGM) from the composer right?
(although, it has been used since IGMC 2015?)

It's already discussed back then....and I think we still didn't get jugde's confirmation on this issue.
(I think) As long as your demo is not created using assets and designs from your existing games, then it should be safe.
And (I think) as long as your demo is based on inexisting game, then it should be okay too

Go to discord and ask them directly to be sure.

Are we able to submit a demo of a planned full game? I started my game after the 4th and my demo is just about a day ready to release...then I saw this! Am I able to submit the demo?

@Stranga They just said "make a game". Not "make a full game", "demo game", "preview game" or something like that.
So... yeah - hopefully. I can only submit a preview (if I can finish it in time). For a big and good game, you need more than a month.
Even my preview can be done nearly impossible in 6 days alone.

PS: If demos / previews are not accepted, we can change this now.

Yes demos are allowed. It's best if it works as a standalone game but a vertical slice or early demo is still viable.
