Well that couldn't have Gone Any Worse

I tried to rename the RTP folder and give it a custom icon (cause it was on the desktop and I didn't want it to be easily confused with the actual program)


and now it won't recognize it. it says that the RTP is not installed


how do I fix this? (i already tried renaming it to "RPG Maker VX Ace" Just like it used to be {i think})

You can't rename the RTP folder, that why rpg maker doesn't recognize it.


Rename it back to normal, it should work fine.

Its name is RPGVXAce


Though it might be trying to find it through the 'usual' pathway.  If it can't find it where it expects it to be, even renaming it correctly may not be enough.  The normal path is:


C:/Programe Files(x86)/Common Files/Enterbrain/RGSS3/RPGVXAce

i had the RTP installed to the desktop if that's the problem then how do i set it'spath to the folder on the desktop

No, it is not RPG Maker VX Ace.  It is, as I said, RPGVXAce


If the RTP worked previously from the desktop, then fine.  If not, then I assume that you have the folders I mentioned.  Check it through, and if not, come back and tell us how much of the path you have.
