Wellfleet
They say dead men tell no tales, but the tale of Black Sam Bellamy is well known around these shores. The "Prince of Pirates", or so they called him, driven by love to a life of crime on the high seas, was only one ill-fated storm away from retiring as the richest pirate in history. After he sunk beneath the waves, his beloved was chased out of town, forced to take refuge in the surrounding woods, never to be heard from again. According to the history books, that was the end of it, but they don't account for all of the witnesses that swear Black Bellamy and his bride to be still haunt this place.
A missing person, a cursed treasure and a centuries old ghost story set in the real world (and based on true events) will make for a truly unforgettable adventure. Explore haunted woods, discover ancient secrets, and unveil the truth surrounding a mystery that has haunted an American coastal town for hundreds of years. Those you meet along the way may be willing to lend a hand to your investigation, but beware, some may have their own hidden agenda, and you never really know who you can trust until it is too late!
Wellfleet is an adventure game with light horror elements set in a small open world based around a real historic coastal town, designed to let you discover the mystery at your own pace, while still advancing the story through the actions of the characters around you. Explore the town and interact with the diverse cast of characters during the day, and investigate the surrounding woods at night; careful though, you will need to watch out for things far more sinister than the local wildlife! Run for your life or hide to avoid the forces determined to stop you from discovering the truth, but don't let them keep you from your destiny.
Oh, and whatever you do...
stay away from the witch.

I have been quietly working on this game for quite a while, and I am beyond excited to finally share some of the progress, but the road ahead is long and there still many obstacles along the way. I'd love to hear from anyone what they think of what is on display here!
