Hiya ^^

I'm Onism, but I generally go by Kalo. I'm 20 years old, a university student, and a lover of books, poetry. I've always been interested in gaming and the creation of it, but due to many reasons I never really ventured into it (minus primary school i.c.t classes where we went on scratch). And so, here I am: RPG Maker MV installed, forum account created and my introductory thread started. I'd say I'm on a roll.

I'm pretty (extremely*) new to all of this, so I'm definitely a noob. I've ran through the tutorials in the app a few times, watched various videos on youtube and clicked about and explored a little- I'll save the tutorials on here for a later date when I'm not so tired.

But I thought I should say hi and introduce myself to everyone. It's unlikely I'll become anyone well known here since I'm too shy to post any completed work and I'm terrible at content creation so there's my fame pretty much gone- but I'll likely pop up with various questions on random threads- :D

Thanks a bunch for reading,
Kalo

You don't need to be shy around here. Most of us are so everyone is very kind and considerate. The mods do an excellent job in keeping everything civil and positive. I encourage you to share your work as the feedback you'll get from the community will be extremely helpful. You'll become a better game designer because of this. I know I have.

But either way, welcome to the forums! Enjoy your stay.

He mad, but he cute :kaopride:

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
