Just make thing short and sweet: I would like to see when text ends and play begins. What do literary devices do you use?

long monologues
An apologue is a moral fable such as Aesop's fable stories and an traditional lore in the rpg game about bababa, the past hero who had defeated the evil.
Metaphor
Hyperbole
Simile

Flashbacks
Juxtaposition : two or more dissimilar characters, themes, concepts, etc. side by side, and the profound contrast highlights their differences. For example, protagonists and early antagonists were friend and fought against the surprise end game antagonists. Final Fantasy.
Prologue: It is a popular starting for rpg games here. lol

Thank you for your dedication and your contribution to this community.
If you would like to provide me examples, I am really thankful of your time.

I voted for all except long monologues, because those are boring...

I think good writing will at times use all of the tools you've mentioned in the poll. A good writer doesn't limit themselves in terms of which literary devices they use. Every writer has there own style though, so probably not every writer will use every tool. Every tool has its purpose and its place.

Me personally, I just google up a list of language techniques and take those >.>
Also get inspired from books/movies/game/plays.
I don't know if anybody else invest hours into this, but it pays off, especially when you haven't approach the type of genre/theme you're using for your game.

Should be able to release Haxe MV/MZ next weekend.
It look that somehow MZ tracks are messed up (for example battle4 is obviously a theme, castle2 is a ship, ship1 is a scene and so on..). Maybe they just named them after with some ambiguity.
is there a script call that return how much turn has passed in battle?
Does anyone find this hard to read?

Enjoying my weekend at home to stay Covid free. How is everyone else doing?
