My list.

PS3 + 2 move controllers + 18 games, bought it since launch, used a few days, each game I played about 10-15 minutes. Finally, I sold the whole thing for $150 bucks.

2 computer mobos, 1 graphic card, 6 memories bars, 1 CPU, bought them with an intention to build or upgrade old computer but ended up buying a new computer, could not return for refund those items so I trashed them.

few books, few keyboards each have little use.

RPGMaker MV and Art pack, bought them since released but have not touched them. Lol
...etc. more but forget what they were.

A £400 leather trenchcoat. I always wanted one, thought I'd wear it constantly - wore it only a few times, because it's so hot and heavy.

A whole host of pen and paper RPG books, because I thought I could easily find others to play with.

Untold hundreds of pounds have been wasted at Games Workshop, too. I no longer play, but just thinking of all that money I wasted on plastic armies makes me want to punch myself.

A kettle - no idea why I bought it, since I never use it. I don't drink hot drinks, and I never need boiled water on its own.

Oh! Almost forgot the PS4. Bought it, sold it to my friend, bought it back from him, then gave it back to him again without charge. xD What a waste of money that thing was.

I don't know if it's just me, but I struggle to bring myself to buy stuff I need let alone want, so I'm having trouble thinking if I have anything I ended up not using. Like, I need water coming in through holes in my shoes before I force myself to get new ones. Most of my stuff is well used and I usually have the issue of people yelling at me to replace them. But, I can say my boyfriend has about 100 t-shirts I've never seen him wear. That's the weeded out collection, too. >_>

I don't remember much of my unused stuff, aside from maybe a whole library of Steam games. I am trying to go through them bit by bit, but come a new sale and I buy a lot more. Some I bought because I thought I'd be interested in them, but for one reason or another not installed them (like them being too huge in size and needing a long time to download). Then I also get many games being gifted to me (courtesy of Stranger Clause). I still have a few untouched games I bought since 2011 summer sale. :p

@Ms Littlefish I'm the same mostly, there's just been a few things I've bought then never used, or regretted later on. I barely own any clothes - I have three shirts, two trousers, and one pair of ex-army boots; ex-army boots which need replacing, I might add. I also tend not to throw anything away. If I don't need something anymore I'll try to give it to someone who does have a use for it. I hate throwing things away if it's still in working order.

However, I am often tempted by crap I don't need but would love to have - such as one of those Russian style Ushanka hats. I have it hanging on the back of my door, but I never use it because I hate wearing hats. I have to constantly tell myself I don't need things such as gas masks, because I can barely afford to pay rent half the time.

@The Stranger I'm actually a massive declutter-er rather than having an aversion to throwing things away. I both struggle to replace necessities and every few months pick out things I feel like are taking up room and not being used enough. I always donate the stuff because I hate waste as well. I won't make it story time in here, but I'm used to fitting my life inside two bags and moving to a new place every few months. Ever since doing this whole settling down thing it's still weird for me to look at my apartment and the things I've acquired and not think "man, it would take forever to ditch this place."

That said, my boyfriend does balance me out. I do have things I want and like, I just have this quirk! I like to think I balance him as well because he has SO MUCH STUFF. But, he's always, "Meg, you need shampoo," when I'm contemplating just thinning out the last bit in the bottle with water to stretch it to next week. I'm a wee bit nuts, but I think nearly everyone has a thing like that. XD

@The Stranger I also have a very nice trench coat that I never use, though it's more because no one seems to wear trench coats anymore except bank robbers than anything else, and I noticed that it puts people on edge when I wear it almost as badly as walking around with an unconcealed handgun on my hip would. It's a shame because I absolutely dig that whole 50's noir look.

@Ms. Littlefish Enjoy it while it lasts or never have children. Geez I miss the days when new clothes were a once every 3-5 year expense...>_>

My wife balances me out in a similar way, only she's the packrat and I'm the guy who would feel perfectly at home living out of his car on any given day. It's good to be opposite in some things, somehow it just seems to work best that way.

things that never get enough use for what they cost.
  • kid's Bicycles, clothes and beds. All the same thing, they grow far to fast and thank god hand-me-downs are a thing.
  • baby shoes: Stupidest things in the world. I'll never understand why a child needs to come into the world with half a dozen pairs of shoes when at best they'll only get to wear one pair of them once, for like five minutes until they figure out how to kick them off, and then they'll have outgrown them in a couple of weeks. They can't even walk yet so why the **** do they need shoes in the first place? I guess it makes my mom happy but I'd hate to tally up all the tiny shoes she has bought over the years for all of the kids in the family, it's like an addiction or something, she just won't stop.
  • Bread maker: Yeah, sure, I want to make my own bread. I went as far as to ask for it one year when needled about the holidays. I can't give any real reason why I don't use it nearly at all but...I don't.
  • Dark Souls 3: Got it for the holidays last year, one of two games purchased that were released that year. I think it's bloodborne's fault I just can't get into it, or maybe DS2 was just enough Dark Souls? Either way, I struggled through to the Abyss Watchers before calling it quits for an extended break, and the game has been collecting dust ever since.

@Ms Littlefish I have no attachment to any of the things I own. I've abandoned everything twice, now - once when I was made homeless, and once when I simply couldn't handle things where I was living so I just left. I think I became pretty impulsive and reckless with money after being made homeless. You'd think it would make you more frugal, but all it did was detach me from everything I own. There are only a few things which are of any value to me (a card given to me when I was 13 years old, a card with tiny hand prints on it given to me by the kids at a nursery I worked at, and a book given to me to a family member) everything else is neither here nor there.

I use my money for either self-improvement, or to try and cope by buying stuff which makes me laugh; or just because I think something is quirky. xD

Ha-ha! I will also use every bit of shampoo and conditioner in a bottle. I'm currently using watered down shampoo. :D I will also eat food which has gone past the sell by date - bread, etc.

Kinda rambled on a bit there.

Hmmm...

Well...

I have a rifle that sits on a wall bracket; it's over 150 years old and if I were to attempt to use it, I cringe at the idea of it backfiring (been there, done that, nearly died). It belonged to my great uncle who was a mountain man (lived off the land).

I have my best friend's wedding dress, encased in plastic (she died during the birth of her second child who also died from birth complications-umbilical cord strangulation); she left that to me as well as a very well made dress mannequin which I ended up selling because I had no room for it.

lol

A can of Zoo Doo (a joke gift for my 21st birthday by my then friend).

I have a case of canned camphor that I bought twenty years ago. I've been fortunate to never of had to use it but I do wonder if any has leaked (it's in a storage locker so I'd have to travel into Wichita to go check).

What would I use canned camphor for? Well, it is highly flammable, so some rubbed on some firewood and a single lit match would start a fire pretty quick. Of course, it is also a good first aid supplement for burns and lacerations.

I too have a trench coat, only it doesn't quite look like the sinister type of trench coat (it has fur lining and a hood so as to be more of a fashion trench); I wear it often though so it does get quite a bit of use (but I don't care what idiots think).

A propane grill in the back yard (if I ever get a car I can get propane tanks myself instead of having to ask for a ride just to get one).

My older sister's prom dress. It's too large for me (and my breasts don't fill in the bust at all).

I have photo albums I've not looked at in a very long time. Quite a few of the photos are of me...being forced to live as the incorrect gender. Painful? Beyond words.

I have a makeup kit I bought from crossdresser.com (beard busters mostly); my skin tone was too incompatible with it so it rarely ever got used and nowadays I have no need for it at all (actually I had only a minor problem with facial hair but that was gone by 20-21).

I have one of those Kit 'n' Kaboodles I never used because nowadays, they're collectors' items.

I have a very old typewriter (I don't know what brand it is because the case is completely bleach faded and the logo is illegible). It still works, however not knowing the brand of the typewriter makes finding an ink ribbon virtually impossible (it doesn't need one at the moment but if it did run dry...)

I have a Sega Master System. Unfortunately, it doesn't get used because I do not have an SD TV (I would never hook anything less than 16-bit to an HD TV). Same goes for my NES, Famicom and Atari 7800.

Fact: Duck Hunt (or any game that uses the reflective tech provided by Zapper/S.Scope/etcetera) will NOT work on an HD TV. I miss Duck Hunt soooooo muchhhh... :ysad:

I recently bought an app in the mac app store called CompareMerge, because I was comparing JSON generated with my Ace2Mv converter to MV JSON, but it seems it does not sort the JSON as this was only made for comparing text bodies.

I might use this app for other endeavors, but for JSON, I'll have to keep using http://jsondiff.com/ or manually sort the JSON properties first.

Aside from my 1912 Gibraltar 10 gauge shotgun i inherited from my granny to shoo crackheads i have thIs itty bitty dress i wore *once* that is a size 10. I hadn't been that size in 20 years and i still hope i get back to it. It's a goal im only now at 14 but from years of hard work (used to be 50. Yeah looooots of work.....)
Anyways most things i have i tend to use or repurpose. I don't have money to toss on things that can't be used collecting dust

UPDATE (8 months later apparently ): came across that dress looking for clothes to wear... I'm upset because it's too big now. I'm conflicted because on one hand I'm thinner now so i have more options but on the other hand no money to buy new threads in the first place. And I'm not thinner by choice (quite sick wah). So now it annoys me. I only have a small selection of clothes i own that i can kinda wear if i step outside as all my other stuff way too big. Im a walking hanger! sob!

A PS4 last Christmas.
Only played TLOU Remastered on it, nothing else. So, about 40-50 hours use in total.

Bought 2 booster boxes of a card game, and then the card game died down in my locale game store right after I got it. They are still sealed in the box, complete with their packaging, and I let them do their job(collecting dust) inside my drawer.

A Kinect for the Xbox360.
Not gonna lie, it was fun to use at first (with friends and family) but I got bored of it really fast and I consider it useless and tiring to use nowdays.

Funny people mention trench coat. I wear one, though It's brown and I always considered it a long coat. I like it. It's getting worn out and I've been thinking of getting a new one but I'm going to try and get another long coat (this one reaches below my knees). I like it because it's like the coats in the old 50's movies.:D

I've been told it looks cool too so there's that.

Back when I had my ps3, every payday I would go out and buy a game or two. It didn't take long for the games to pile up and I barely played any of them. I finished a few and played the others for maybe a day or two. If I ever got back into console gaming I would probably change that and buy maybe a couple games a year rather than per paycheck. What a waste of money that was.

PS3 for me too. As well as a few books and a few video games that I swear I'll get to one day but probably never will. I need to get back in to reading anyway, which I swear will happen one day but probably never will.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
