On the downside, Vtm:Bloodlines decided it needs to phone home to activate, but the website ain't there anymore :(

Hopefully tech support there can fix that, otherwise I'll have to turn to more ... unconventional ... means.

I hate it when games I pay for decide to stop working :angry:
That's a shame. I play Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines so, so much! It's such a great game, and the modding community is still very active; I'm looking forward to the Antitribu mod (I can't wait to play as a Tzimisce.)

On topic: I'm currently planning a number of side-missions, I don't have quest givers as such in my project, so the player must investigate rumours and strange happenings in order to both activate, and complete these events. It's going well, I just need to add a few finishing touches to the layout, then I can add it into my project.

I'm most likely going to start production on Illuminated Badassery 2 today (!).

Here's a lil' list on all the **** I plan on doing; there's spoilers, of course, so I spoiled it so some can still salvage the element of surprise:

  • I'm planning on making many improvements to the formula established in IB1 (going through areas, getting objects to unlock said areas) and I'm going to choose a somewhat different battle system; it'll still be ABS but it'll be something cooler than the Vampyr one I used for the last game.
  • The game's gonna be longer, of course; since I'm planning on introducing more new concepts and stuff, I'm gonna explain stuff more instead of being somewhat purposely vague like I was in the last game. I think instead of 8 areas I'll shoot up to 12-16 so the game won't take all of 6 hours to beat lol
  • I introduced quite a few characters in the last game, so obviously some people want to get to know some of them better. For one, why the HELL is Jabron an elf/African, I'm sure everyone's wondering? I'll try to give every major character a backstory of sorts. Of course, since Joe was such a jackass during the last game, I'm going to explain his character the most.
  • Console style save points will persist. I just feel that menu-saving removes a bunch of challenge since you can just mass-save/load at any tough part, degrading the portion into something ridiculously easy once you practice enough. Part of the point of this series is to give it a console feel of sorts.
  • THE GAME WILL NOT BE ANYMORE SERIOUS THAN THE LAST; the series is supposed to be as ridiculous as possible, so while there might be more of an attempt to reveal a structured plot, you're still looking at the wrong series if you want a Final Fantasy plot.
And if not today, then a week from now. I dunno.

Yeah. Camarilla Edition and the Clan Quest mod are my favorites. Companion mod is really good too.

I posted over there to see if anyone had any ideas, no responses yet. And it was problems with the cogen DRM that started the whole mess...

Anyway, now I'm working on filling maps with people and giving them interesting conversations.

And playing some Hellfire Diablo cause I feel like kicking it old skool.

I'm working on a little halloween action game. You play as a pumpkin man and drop bombs on the map to blow up wannabe heroes. :)

Also trying to fix a really annoying bug that alpha testers ran into in a different game that'll be released soon. *sigh* Doesn't seem to happen on my computer.

because, its so easy.. :D

i don't need to waste my time to create a new story and search a resources, or databasing..

just add some feature, fix bug, and improving all aspect like map, text dialog, graphics and gameplay.. ;)

Here are some of the concepts I've decided upon so far:

  • Entirely new item script; the equip/item menus have been replaced with MA's Grid inventory so everything's placed in one convenient place.
  • New battle system; Vampyr's battle system has been replaced with the Yggdrasil ABS for many new features in combat and more intelligent enemy/boss AI
  • One of the most major concepts; skills that level up! This game's gonna take a cue from Disgaea and introduce skills that will level up upon enough usage. I'm currently deciding to make the level cap something around 5 or 10. This is also done so you won't have 5+ versions of the same skill unnecessarily, which I personally thought was a problem with the original.
  • A larger Portal, allowing for more exploration and areas, both important and optional.

Hi. Thought I'd use this chance to properly introduce myself into the community.

At the moment I am working on a fairly short game that I started during the trial of VX Ace last month. When I say short I mean ~4-5 hours long. Hopefully will post it on the forums when it's done.

Currently, I'm trying to find people to join my working team. I've tried limiting it to my real life friends who are skilled, but I lack people on that department so I'm trying to find them on the net. (This post kind of makes me realize how much of a loner I am...)
