@Clareain_Christopher : Hey, I love that! It's really different from all these "anime-like" design we're endlessly served!

Where can we see more of your project?

Thanks, Pokeymon.

I did some character building on the Plot and Character Feedback Topic. The project is called Black Flowers, and I started planning it about a week or so ago. It would take a good several months before I'd post an early project topic for this.

Working on a small, snowy, and moonlit village.

It's difficult getting the lighting and fog overlay right, but I do like this quite a bit so far :)

Here's the whole town in editor view, and a bonus ingame shot:

the way it cuts out so straight on the character in the first post is quite weird, but I don't think you can do much about it anyways... aside from that, it's looking good... :)

Pretty good map. I'd heighten the blues in your tint to emphasize the moon light.

I was just experimenting with that, while also making it darker but less saturated, so that you get more of the details in the tiles:

And a video of it, which shows how the fog and shadows move, and makes the snow easier to see:

Do you mean the snow the player stands in? Yeah, it's pretty rough. I'm thinking of either finding or writing a script that overlays a given image instead of overlaying half the tile with an opacity on it. That way I could make a graphic for when characters stand in different kinds of terrain which will look better than just a clear cut half tile.

Finished up a village for Black Tempest, and started working on a fun little fan game.

I've outdone myself.

It's a Tag-Team battle sort of thing. 48 playable characters, 33 classes, 60+ weapons etc, etc. This is the character select screen. I've only done 21 characters so far. ;_; Since I need a break from working on my more serious stuff.

@Archeia : I can't wait to see what other characters you have in store. They look like such a lovable cast.

Working on item images. Also known as drawing flowers. Also known as why did I think it was a good idea to include Marigolds in the flower roster?

I've finished work on my farms, now time to work on my village!

Shadows and lightning will be made later.
Woooooow. That looks absolutely amazing. You're utilizing everything so exceptionally!

I would have a lot of fun just walking around a world like that.

@Chaos17 That is magnificent looking.

I just finished revamping all my non rtp music, added some custom journal and main quest update alerts, victory MEs, SEs, and puzzle solved or failed effects.  I wanted to stay away from RTP music and sounds entirely.  I've also got a new banner symbol for animations, and the title screen done my resource artist:

Taking a break from working on my serious games, and spent most of yesterday and today trying to finish up the data and graphics for all 48 playable units for my FE game. Implemented Jet's Mouse script because it works a lot better when selecting a unit, rather than using the arrow keys to scroll around the character select screen. Played around a bit with the game to test its balance as well. Nintendo Hard... But hell, it is a Fire Emblem game. They are notorious for difficulty.

And a WIP of the stage select screen after you clear the game at least once.

Still another 17 units to go.

Clearing it several times will unlock new characters, but the player has to clear the entire 5-Stage tower in less than 55 turns to unlock the best unit in the game.  Clearing certain stages in a set amount of turns also grants player rewards, but more on this when I get the actual game thread up in the new year. So yeah, if you like a challenge, are competitive and like FE, you will probably like this. XD

Such talent! I almost feel ashamed of my own feeble efforts.

I said almost. Figured it might be time for a more recent set of screenshots, since i'm now actively trying to get my gaming buddy to playtest with me. So here's what I've been cooking up for the last two weeks as I get the time for it:

Salazar and Edrid aren't the kind of guys who'd settle for the quiet life. They're adventurers. Treasure hunters. The kind of people who go out looking for trouble, and the bounty that comes with it. They're also the kind of people who'd trade a month's wage for passage by ship to an obscure place called Rigby Island. Their purpose? To seek out a local warlord and claim his treasure hoard for themselves. All they need is a suitable blade, and -- maybe -- just a bit of luck on their side.
They're taking their due, and they'll carve it out of his hide if they have to.

The Legend of Gladius is a single chapter demo based on a tutorial by Benko and Kelsper. It is my first RPG maker game and as such serves to acquaint me with the tools. For those interested, I will be expanding the story in Blade of the Gods after this project is complete.

@Shades - the way those grass and ground doesn't blend and look so square in the 2nd screenie looks bad... you should find tiles that blend nicely, especially for environment tiles...

Also, the dead trees in the upper part seems to have been not aligned properly on the sheet which causes some lines to appear on the left side... Even the other trees have visible border lines around the tile... Did you edit all of those tiles? because I don't have those tile border lines in my copy of those resources... and those tree logs seem to be stretched or something...

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
