though using google for RM scripts doesn't work well...
It's worked out better than I've expected. At least in searching for pre-made scripts.
Not sure about anything else script-related.
EDIT: I'd really like to have or find a list of the calls and hard-coded variables that the game uses if I ever started doing RM scripts. However, I'm afraid that scripting is so time-consuming it'd be better to look for/request specific scripts than to teach myself Ruby's coding rules and lose focus upon the game itself
As well, from what I've seen, there's more dedicated script-monkeys out there than multitaskers that do their own anyhow, and I can guess why.
OT: Trying to finish up the first battle tutorial tonite. First time doing this much eventing in one event (only had program for 2 weeks, whoo).
Conditional loops, variables, and labels - oh my!
--| I thought about doing it OOC but really wanted to keep most of it in-character, so went with that, in a sense - the excuse is that one of the starter MC's (the group healer, go figure) has had some training, but hasn't been in a real fight before, so she needs a few "refreshers" on how things work
--| It needs to be concise, but allow for backtracking if the player is a dunce and doesn't "get" something by the end
--| As a little (personal) bonus, I also want the character(s) "yelling" at the player if they're acting like a dunce XD
--| However, it should be skippable, in case the player just wants to get the first fight over with
