Thanks Engr. Shana. It is kinda like the game Ib, and the crooked man, and will have a very interesting story, or at least I will try to make it amazing. I have decided on many endings, so that way it has a very high replay value.

Working on my first project on VX Ace. It's more of a for-fun kind of game, and I'm having a grand time working on it. My "dream game" can wait for a while yet. ^__^;

Oh, and doing musical projects and stuff, too.

Short scenes with many events is what I've been working on all night. My brain was such that I really needed the visual reference to get it done.

What a can of wurms this is,so I'm going though all my maps I made for an old game I was helping to develop, and I can't seem to find my Casino maps(it was the mast maps I finished before the coder dropped the project, so I very clearly remember finishing them), but I couldn't locate it. I'm like where the hell could it be, and then it hit, before the coder completely dropped the project  he recoded the game under a different name, so effectibely there were two separate map making files/applications. I then go looking through the other folder, and found it woot woot.

However that's not all I found, I forgot how involved I was with this game(I think I subcontiously wanted to forget about it, because the project was abandoned, making my hard work at the time go to waste), dozens of other maps I forgot(but remembered making after I saw them) popped up(I was wondering what some of the buildings in my city were, well that clears that up, and a lot more).

Well anyway I'm still trying to wrap my head around the sheer scale of the old game, and trying to sort out the resources I need, so I can group them together to make a tile set to import into VX Ace. I also found my old epic admin char sprite, but I'm trying to reformat it into a file type RPG maker can read(It's not like tiles, the sprite for Byond use a special file format), but sadly it looks like I'm gonna have to create a sprite sheet from scratch to import into RPG Maker sigh(every time I change the format, it becomes one pic, if I turn it into a gif, it becomes a animated pic based on It's char states, but it still shows up as a single pic, you no longer have access to the sprite sheet).

This could be rather bothersome(I have a feeling creating the tileset, and redoing all my maps is gonna be a breeze compare to getting this to work.

Revising some XP  converted to VX sprites, and trying to make them a little more interesting.  The orc always makes me think of Piccolo otherwise.

I am working on a short game named, Soulstice (3 hours or so).

It takes place within a universe that some college friends and myself came up with, called Nada. We have a good bit of lore on the game, and reference it  a good bit, so it thrives pretty well. Soulstice is based within that universe, but will not be directly tied in to the story that we have created. I plan to post a thread on it soon that details the game a bit.

My primary focus on it right now are maps. I am trying to stay within the RTP, and it is going pretty well.

I am just getting use to RPG Maker VX ACE. I only have the lite version off of steam, but its fun to actually do stuff for my game that I thought of in the middle of class.

I'm still bound to a note pad and some graph paper right now since I don't have enough money to buy any thing. (I'm Broke right now). So I though to myself might as well go to the forums and see what other people are working on, and try to internet my self into this community and learn from it and hopefully I can make my game and have other people play it. That has been my dream ever since I was a kid.

Also I just made up the name of my game a while ago too. It's called "The Realm of the Mad Lord"

I'm working on making tilesets out of my resources in Byond, but I keep accidently clicking a file that attempts to open Byond, again, when It's not needed, and sadly that is bugging my Photoshop(move pic tool), so I have to start puting it together again from scratch, whenever I do that.

However this is what I have so far(probally about 1/3 of the tiles I want in this set)

There's probally colors somewhere in my personal resource database(I literally have probally thousands of tiles, and such) that aren't, but yea most of these were modeled off of NES type graphics, and thus using its palette.

Edit: Yes I finally got though making the full tileset, without screwing up

Note this is specifically a floor tile set Ground Tileset.jpg

There's some added things in there like signs, and a cave entrance, but yea these are ground tiles.

Now I just need to make a Town/wall Tileset, and a evebt object sheet(s).

@Zoltor: I don't quite like NES palete ;_; what kind of game are you working on? (for an arcade it might fit better than other styles).

@Shana: It turned out pretty well!

You remembered me, I'll be working on Mack sprites soon ... I don't even want to think about it T.T

Editing a bit (some lightings) + I still need to finish the other views... it's quite a bit harder than normal since I need to make the Front parts and the Back parts (just like the cloaks on the generator)

I'm probally not gonna use the terrain options, other then Ice, swamp, and the damages floor tile, I just put them there just in case(maybe the sand/dirt floors too, because the RTP versions of such suck pretty bad).

The main tiles I'm gonna use, are the special floor tiles(like that Gold/silver tile, the wood/stone floors, and the carpet/4 star tiles. I also might use some of the cobble tiles for floor/roof.

Look at my arena Lobby for an idea(ignore the NPC sprites, I wont be using those lol):

Arena lobby.png

There's a lot of things you can do with the NES Palete, don't write it off, and there's some awesome tiles I have in the tileset I put together(some even far better then the RTP versions of such. I have a feeling my Stone, dirt, and, the pattern tiles are gonna get a lot of use, as well is the damages floor tiles)

PS. Why doesn't the RTP come with an Ice tile(there's snow, but no Ice lol).

Right now I'm working on some character bust bases in Manga Studio:

Anatomy has never been my fine points, so I'm retaking it at the moment, I'll go back and do a better job of fleshing them out once I feel up to it.

@metalraptor

I can never get images posted the way yours is in the post above.  All I ever get is a white space and the little whirling cog.

Nope.  I open the spoiler and there is a small icon thing, and when I click on it it just comes up as a white rectangle with the endlessly circling cog.

Still learning as a spriter (I've been practicing for barely 2 months):

I AM YOUR FATHER Ralph jr.!

I already saw somewhere a couple of kid sprites of the RTP characters but I don't like them very much, so I decided to make them by myself, they're mostly parodistic and funny, that's why they resemble a lot their adult conterparts.

I plan to make a full RTP set one day, even if I highly doubt that someone will use them for a game. XD

I have to change some details however (especially females clothes) because you know, those clothes aren't suitable for kids.

The RTP brats were part of a nice Halloween game I was developing, but that I dropped for lack of time, it was called Troublemakers of the 7th Moon.

I still plan to finish it however, one day.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
