The smell of

- the insides of Norwegian public libraries.

- freshly cut grass

- parking lots

- the sea

- martial arts gyms (mix of sweat, leather/rubber and tiger balm)

- incense

Lastly, although not PG, I usually really enjoy the smell of a new partner, whatever that might be.

There is something special about the smell of a person you're romantically interested in, in the very first stages of the

relationship, because it's tied to that new exciting feeling of the first encounters, is usually unique to that person, and because you usually grow accustomed to it over time to the point that you no longer notice it.

I seem to like the smell of dirt. I also love to walk barefoot through the dirt. then again, I tended a garden with my mother growing up.

I like the smell of cooked chicken, and fresh vedgtables, as well as chilli. I also love the smell of the woods

I also oddly like the smell that's produced when a skunk sprays. Don't know why, It just smells fragrent to me

rain itself is a wonderful smell. I have so many found memories attached with rain through. Snow is a good smell as well

I don't really like the smell of metal though, or plastic

@ Oddball You just reminded me of a strange disgust toward the smell of brass I had when I was kid. Honestly I still sort of hate the smell. But when I was a kid I would always turn the door knobs with my sleeve pulled over my hand because I so violently hated the smell the door knobs would leave on my hands when mixed with the heat of my body.

@ Hian People do have unique smells. Granted we don't get to go around sniffing everyone. But it's rather well known that perfumes (whatever their source) smell different on everyone because of the variations in body chemistry, especially as the perfume has started wearing through its note complexity. It's rather interesting. But again, most of us only get to sniff so many people without it being strange.

To add a few more I really love the smell of

  • Lilacs, especially if they're carried over on the breeze and it sort of comes out of nowhere.
  • Cucumbers. Which is funny because I actually don't care for eating them much unless part of something like Tzatziki .
  • Celery. Though I don't like eating that unprepared either!
  • Coffee. Don't know how I managed to not list that one. Goldstorm and I have our go to blend but we always, always sniff all the other ones and are occasionally swayed.

Cucumbers! I forgot how much i liked the smell of cucumbers. And honeydew melon--but not cantaloupe. Cantaloupe smells like garbage to me. Ugh, and coffee. Most coffe smells like burned fish to me.

I do like tea, though, if it's faint.

Mm, and peppermint and spearmint and lemon.

It's funny how I notice the way things smell now. My NaNoWriMo story stars a Changeling detective who can track the caster of a spell by how it smells. I've been paying attention to various scents and combinations of scents, figuring out how they fit with a character's nature. Cedar and ginger, copper and sour apples, dust and lilacs, cherry blossoms and musk, cigarettes and asphalt--I've been noticing the scent of everything around me more, for good or bad.

I don't really read a whole bunch...but I do LOVE the smell of a freshly opened book/manga/magazine. Similarly, I love the smell of a book store!

I like the smell of this new body spray I'm using :> ...

Home cooked poppyseed chicken :> ...

...I'll think of some other things latter. :)

I love the smell of baking bread and cinnamon.

The smell reminds me of my mother hard at work in her kitchen, going through a few of the many baking books she has, while trying to create a new type of dough to put into that trusty, old oven.

It usually results in unbelievably delicious and aromatic homemade bread that you may never be able to find anywhere but in your own kitchen. The many times and days my friends and I suffer from sore throats due to overeagerness to consume those breads while they were still piping hot would attest to that.

Dalph, if haven't already, you should seriously consider switching to unleaded. It's way better for your car and circulation. Most of all, your car.

Susan, I really, really want to make some spice cake now. There are so many to choose from, too.

Just thought of another one.

  • McIntosh Apples
Maybe not the first choice for plain eating but when compared to other apples they let off the most wonderful and indescribable smell to me. I walk past them all day long. I'll pass the other apples and they smell unremarkable, but then I pass the McIntosh and, holy cow, it's beautiful.

Just perfect for the winter, Ms Littlefish! Add that with some mix blend tea or hot chocolate and you're set!

Don't forget apple pie, with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream sprinkled with cinnamon and all-spice.

I want to go home to my mom's kitchen sooooo bad now!

The smell of gasoline, cigarettes and crisp air (my mind is so frazzled atm) in the morning as well as the scent of freshly washed floors.

Wouldn't gasoline & cigarettes contradict with clean air, Tuxedo Leila?

Which would be your best choice if you had to choose from one of those three?

Oops ahaha what I meant was the fresh, crisp morning air being tainted with the presence of cigarettes and gasoline.

The scent reminds me of when I was living in my parent's home town for a year as a kid. Although I don't like the individual scent of cigars or gasoline, the mixture of the three is the only thing that I can clearly and will always remember about that place and the people that lived there. I hope that clears things up. >.<'

Oh, I see. My bad.

People who are exposed to those smells appear to be more comfortable with them.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
