Messy shared spaces. Yes, this.

Working with "the Ninja" (mentioned in other posts), has stretched my patience, partially for this reason. Now, I'm a fairly cluttered person at home, but it's an organized clutter, and I can find anything. But at work, I like to operate with the ferocious efficiency and tidiness of a stalag commandant.

The Ninja, however, leaves stacks of empty cardboard boxes on the counter, never sorts product in the Electronics lockup (including security items like iPods and game consoles), leaves security items unattended, and generally has me doing deep-breathing and counting to ten at least once a shift.

People who sit next or very close to me in public spaces. This usually happens in a movie theater. I can understand this and be more forgiving of it if it's a crowded showing, but for near empty showings, it's inexcusable. Then again, I could chalk this up to being from a small town, where crowded public spaces are a rarity. Also could chalk it up to my mild social anxiety.

Another theater related issue: people who talk during the movie. Now, I don't go to the theater very often, but when I do, it seems like a 50/50 chance that I end up with a chatty crowd, or at the very least, one or two inconsiderate people. Drives me insane more than anything else quite frankly. Especially when they talk about the movie. There is only one instance I like to listen to people talk during a movie: audio commentaries on DVDs.

In fact, the movie theater experience is just one big pet peeve of mine. The ticket prices, the concession prices, the inability to pause the movie when you gotta take care of business. I've actually begun to swear off movie theaters. I mean, I've got a decent TV and 5.1 surround system, so why not? When Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' released in August, I must admit it took some willpower to not go the theater to see it. Especially when it was playing in a city near my small town out in the middle of nowhere. But it's payed off, and now I've only got a few days left to wait until the Blu-ray releases!

I'm dreading Star Wars Episode VII's release in December. Will be hard to resist the urge to see that in theaters. But if I could do it with DBZ (one of my favorite shows ever), then I can do it with Star Wars! Just gotta be sure to avoid spoilers!

OT, but I saw Resurrection F in the theater, and it was AMAZING. Kinda crappy sound (small theater), because I thought the opening scene's music was someone's cellphone at first.

But, it was the first movie I'd seen in a theater since the seventh Harry Potter.
