What computer/console do you use for gaming? Why?

Now the main rule for this thread is no flaming each other for the type of gaming platform that he/she uses because console wars can cause a friction between users.

So anyways for gaming I mostly use a ps3 now-a-days, but if I can find an another vcr I would go back and play the ps2 for persona, dynasty warriors, and final fantasy X, X-2, and XII. If heaven grants it when I get my new pc and also until order a new graphics card I would be stuck with a ps3.

I have been a Sony fan, but trying out the Xbox was a bit clunky to me because of the huge controllers that are too broad in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, but they do have a broad of games that are only exclusive to them that I would really like to play like Alan Wake, Halo, and the Indie games.

I have a PS3 and a Wii here, but neither have seen much use lately. I'm at my senior year in college, so work's been heavy and I've been constantly on the go. As far as games go, I've stuck ti an occasional round of League of Legends SEA and recently, Pokémon Conquest and SMT Devil Survivor 2 on the NDS. Also, the occasional iPhone game.

I have pretty much all the recent ones, though I have my preferences for which ones I use. For the most part I enjoy my Sony consoles because I like the controller the best. Okay, so I will admit I like the triggers on the xbox better for fps games, but the d-pad, buttons, and just general layout of the ps2/3 controller is better imo. Actually, I only really got the xbox back when the ps3 was more than I wanted to pay.

I also have both of the handheld systems (plus all their predecessors), though at the moment I can't really say I'm impressed with either of them due to the LACK OF GOOD HANDHELD GAMES!! I like the upcoming titles for the psvita, though (persona 4, ffx). The biggest title I was looking forward to on the 3ds got cancelled (megaman legends 3).

I Use my PC. I borrow my girlfriends PS3 when I want to play PS3 exclusives, or my PS2 when I want to play good games. I've had a wii for 3 years that i've never played other than wii sports. I really think I should play at least the Zelda and Mario games for it.

I have PS2 and PSP here but I mostly use PC for gaming. And also, I used the good old GBA playing FFTA, Pokemon, and Riviera.

Though I've owned a PS2, mostly for my import games, and have acquired my brother's old 360 (God, I love it when family members upgrade - it means you get their old stuff for free!) in my heart I am still a Nintendo man. Have been since I first got a Game Boy Colo(u)r. Super Smash Bros., TimeSplitters (sorry, Sony fans, but I just think the GC pad is better for it), Baten Kaitos, Mario Tennis & Kart, Tales of Symphonia, Fire Emblem, No More Heroes, Metroid Prime... There's just no competition in my heart, I'm afraid. I do rather like Bioware's 360 offerings, though.

I've been a PC gamer since I can remember, going back to the early 90's. Prior to that, my C64 was my weapon of choice. I could never play FPS console games effectively, as I could never get used to the controllers. (No, I won't embarrass myself playing Halo any more.)

I'm mostly on a PC due to several games which can be modded and all. Also I love keyboards and mice more than any gaming controllers.

But I also use a Wii only because I'm a huge fan of most Nintendo games (Zelda <3).

I have a PS3 and Wii. Wii hasn't been touched in a while due to hardly any decent games coming out, but I've still been playing PS3 every so often.

PC is used for everything else. If there's an older game I want to play (PS2 or earlier) I'll just emulate it with a gamepad. Most of my old systems are in storage or don't even work anymore.

Well, I mostly use my PS3 simply because my laptop is from 2006. I still have my PS2 for FFX, Kingdom Hearts and such games. I also use my laptop for playing ps1 games because my ps1 broke down.

I've owned every major system since the NES, with the exception of the 3DS which I haven't bothered to get yet. Not particularly fond of android touchy screen casual games, but that's just me.

I've never understood fanboyism or any kind of exclusionary gaming decision.

Me neither. If it has a good game that's rated E, E10+, or T, I'll use it. Besides, games are all about having fun, and that's all that matters.

I haven't picked up a Console game in quite some time (which makes me a bit sad as I used to only play Console RPG's). These days I play PC games. Just built myself a new rig, it's perty.

I mostly stick with with PC for gaming since my dad was primarily a PC gamer (and an Atari fanboy to boot - so there was somewhat of a lack of Nintendo stuff). I have an Xbox 360 which I haven't touched in almost a year and I also have a PS3 which I haven't touched in ages. I play the Vita regularly though.

I would consider myself a PC gaming exclusively at the moment. I owned a Xbox 360 and and PS3 both of which died right outside their warranty period by about 3 months. My Wii sees no play time honestly.

Right now I'm playing through Bastion and am looking for another game to play after this.

Currently own a PS3, DS, and more recently, a PSVita. However, I've been playing a lot more on my gaming PC for the past year or so and have neglected my PS3 a lot. I still play it from time to time but I've become quite the MMO junkie.

Something must have been broken inside of your PS3, because most of them, especially the new models, never die out that fast. I can understand the Xbox; I've seen three of them die very, very fast.

You should have had the PS3 looked at and then see what was wrong with it, because it would be the retailer's fault for sending you a defective system. :0 Unless you spilled something on it, dropped it or dropped something on it?

I usually play my PS3, Wii, and sometimes when I'm really bored my N64, or my PS2 when the controller feels like working. I don't play many PC games because they lag my computer like no ones business. Last PC game I played was TF2.
