Here are some things people misunderstand about me

1. People think I'm a serious student who focuses to much. In truth, I tend to joke a lot and laze around.

2. People say I like to go on a diet, In truth, I eat a lot more the three square meals a day and my wallet is close to empty

3. People mistaken me for a thief, but I'm more of a con- artist that gets stuff for free.  (By the way, when I mean thief not litteraly stealing more like placing their stuff right behind them as they desperately try to look for them, I don't usually do that and I only did it once or twice. Anyway its kinda a nice joke since we laugh at the end. The real play thief is my friend.)

How about you? I'm curious as to what people misunderstand about you :)  If it's to private, you don't have the obligation to post it here for where over a hundred people could see what you wote.

Things people misunderstand about me

1. My place of origin.  This one's a doozy because a lot of people assume I'm from Earth when actually I'm a fourth dimensional being from Ihykr.

That's about it, really.

  1. People like to think i'm a tryhard, when they're just not trying enough.

Casuals choose to make me their enemy just because i'm competitive, even though i'm just another amazing person.
Casuals think I have this super duper humongous ego problem even though it's just me being a positive person.

I've never really noticed any major themes in that, aside from the fact that I may sometimes be viewed being more conscientuous than how I view myself.

And I think that the fact that people perceive me differently than I perceive myself doesn't necessarily mean their views regarding me are any less correct than the one I have of myself, even if I might disagree with many of those views.

People think I'm funny.

I'm an excellent tactician and manipulator.

I apply myself when I need to.

Honestly though? I have no idea how others see me.

1. People tend to think I'm older than I am. Probably a combination of my grumpiness and the fact that I have a daughter approaching her teens. I'm still in my 20s.

2. Not necessarily a misunderstanding as much as just something people don't expect: I'm from the rural south. I grew up in a county in Georgia (the US State) that probably had more cows than people. Even people who live in the city I live in usually think I'm from somewhere else (I live in a college town an hour and a half from Atlanta, so lots of transplants here), mostly due to my almost complete lack of a southern accent. (I have for the most part, the generic TV American accent)

I could say more, but it really divides between internet people and meatspace people who meet me. They usually have different misconceptions.

I've been told I seem snobbish because I'm so quiet and not very expressive.

Honestly, I AM quiet and not very expressive. I'm just shy lol.

People think I'm being a snob because I have a tendency to enjoy more expensive things; from expensive coffee to expensive electronics (like Apple products). But it's got nothing to do with being a snob about it, it's just that I prefer the tastes of more expensive things (and in turn consume less of them), and I prefer some of Apple's products (as an example) because they work the best for me.

@ Galenmereth - I can relate to that as well. People also think I'm snobbish because I own/show horses and they assume it requires unfathomable riches. If anything, owning horses is going to be the end of my piggy bank. And... Apple?!?! You snob (lol).

Pretty much this, word for word. Except replace Georgia with Alabama, I still live rurally and my eldest daughter is only 9.

People often assume that I am younger than I am - I look young - while I am actually 27, most people guess me to be 22, 23, or 25 (at the oldest)

People think that I'm a big slut or that I'm easy, but mostly, I'm just very flirtatious and publically affectionate with my friends.

Uhhh...(after that last sentence, I should mention) I'm a guy.

The fact that 'drawing stuff' is important for me. I tend to think in pictures I have trouble explaining them. Drawing is thé way of expressing myself.

Then I have this new teacher, who said "This is all wrong, you did nothing right and your skill with a pencil sucks" in a much less nice way. No wonder I got upset... He called me out on the ONLY thing I have to express myself without getting stuck searching for the right words. Okay, I know I did something wrong, but you can also put it in a nice way, instead of a barrage of words coming in like a metaphorical wrecking ball of swords

1) That my life is great ever since, that it must be nice to be me... seriously, my life was full of sadness, pain etc... at least maybe until a year before...

2) Maybe a misconception or something, that I have a lot of money... when I only have almost enough to live my life...

3) That I like chemistry and math just because I took up Chemical Engineering...

4) That I want Chemical Engineering... I just took it because it sounds good, finished it because my parents might not be able to support my studies if I try to shift courses... Plus I believe there was a reason as to why I was here...

5) That because I'm now a registered professional engineer, I'm earning a lot of money... which is totally false...

6) That I don't "study hard" just because I don't take down notes... My learning style (for most acad stuff) is thru listening and practice, so I don't take down notes... I hate reviewing too btw...

Same here.

People also tend to misunderstand what my intentions are at times, since I don't always articulate my thoughts correctly.

On average, every 10 thoughts that I have, 9 are misunderstood by myself.

I don't dare to imagine what happens with the neurons of the poor person that should understand what I'm saying...

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
