Videogame dunkey is my hero.
And the game of the year is SUPER MARIO BROTHERS 2 for THE SEGA SUPER PLASTATION SYSTEM 64
Well, what i hate is..
Final Fantasy changes their battle system per game, example: FFX has a 3D battle system.. It sucked a lot! And then the cinematics get better each time. FFX-2 is the best part of FFX, since their dialogs is now spoken by voice actors, and then Cloud. And his buster sword! I mean come on dude, the buster sword is HUGEEEE! And then Square Enix made the Kingdom Hearts series, Mickey (i mean come on? Mickey) and almost everyone in disney was there! And then some FF characthers were there (Only famous ones like Cloud,Tidus, etc).
So now, what do you hate about Final Fantasy Series?
Is this a troll-post? Reading this made my eyes bleed.
3D battle-system? Last time I checked FF started having 3D in their battles with FF7. FFX had voice actors too, not just FFX-2, and the rest of the post.. Well, I don't even...
Personally I love the FF series (In order 7, 6, 8, 9, 10, Type-0, Crisis Core, Tactics 4, 5, 3 remake - and anything else not mentioned, not so much)). Always have, since I first started playing the games, back when I was 8 years old or so.
It's arguably one of the best rpg series out there IMO, and in general, one of the best video-game series out there.
It has its high and low points, varying from title to title, but it's generally worth a try.
What I love about FF games, is a lot.
I love that each title is a self-contained (for the most part) narrative and game, with a few common points to make the series come together and make it identifiable (Chocobos, Cid, airships etc.).
I love the characters, the stories, the epic scale of most of the adventures, and worlds being presented in the series.
For the most part, I also loved the game-play (with certain exceptions).
What do I hate? Very little, although I've had my share of knee-jerk angry reactions at the series over the years.
- At first, I hated the fact that FF8 was so different from FF7, although I learned to like a lot of the differences with time
- I hated the FF8 magic system, the GF system, the weapon system, and the limit-break system, which
makes a game I otherwise like, really frustrating to play.
- I hated the step back from the "modern-punk" style of FF7-8, to the medieval style of FF9
- I hated the way Advent Children, Crisis Core, and other FF7 spin-offs were released instead of a proper remake, and essentially ret-conned estaglished facts of the original story and butchered it completely.
- I hated the lack of a world-map in FF10
- I hated the beginning of the trend of FF spin-offs with FFX-2, regardless of whatever quality there was to the game.
- I hated FF12 for essentially being what I envisioned another Vagrant Story game to be, wrapped in a very thin FF coating, instead of being like an actual FF game.
- I hated FF13 for essentially, just being FF10 on stereoids, and having learned nothing from the complaints of the fan^base following FF10-2, and FF12.
- I hated the FF13-2 and -3 for being sub-par spin-offs following a sub-par title that was a waste of resources that could have been spent on the release of FFVerus 13, now FF15, which looks like a superior FF game in every conceivable way.
- I hate FF for having become what it has become, despite the fact that fan complaints, and the sales numbers of games like Bravely Default clearly demonstrates that there still is a huge desire for the kind of games that FF used to be, prior to the release of FF12.
That's it essentially.
