What I like to do;

Mapping (I like mapping)

Eventing (I like the most, however, It became tedious when you have to test the events over and over)

Scritping (learning how to script)

Design characters and title screen (not a good pixel artist but I enjoyed to spent hours to make custom graphics)

What I hate the most;

Dialogue (Since English is not my native, I therefore do not like to write dialogue. and because the RM community in my language is too small to even think of making games for it)

Monsters and Item stats (In database, this is quite a job. Because you have to name the monster, come up with description, test the stats, choose the skills, choose the animations)

Animation (Example: make skills' animations)

From most love to least love:

Lore/Story/Background [kind of ties into database items, weapons etc] (tie)

Eventing

Mapping/Graphic design (tie)

Everything else.

Pretty much everything to do with story, background, characters, etc. This is what I enjoy the most, fleshing out the world.

I'm finding that I don't enjoy the balancing aspect of it, which is sad as that is a very important part.

I'm a storyteller at heart, so I absolutely love coming up with the plots, characters, ideologies, motivations; stuff of that nature. that's my favorite part, hands down.

I like mapping a lot, but without being able to make custom tiles, I feel sometimes like a lot of the areas look relatively similar.

Because I'm very meticulous, I don't mind so much getting everything's stats to a comfortable difficulty. It's not fun, but I don't hate it either.

I'm rubbish at programming and eventing, so I'd say that's one of my lesser favorite things to do.

Favourite: Plotting, Character concept/design, dialogue, and Weapon/Armor/Item/Skill design... sweet, nourishing databases!

Least Favourite: Mapping (I'm not very spatially sensitive, and get frustrated with art easily).

Currently Love: mapping, as its all that I am doing.

Scripting - would come next, once I get some time to learn it

Dislike - creating new art, coz I cannot do it at all.

What do I like the most when I'm creating a game.. That's a tough one. Every part is fun one way or another, but I think I'm actually enjoying the creative part, so for example creating an original setting for the game, with it's own history and such. And mapping, of course! Because actually building a world can be so much fun, even if there is no story at all - developing the worlds lore on the fly while creating it can fill up so many rainy nights.. :D

Also, playing around in the database and eventing. While both are somewhat tedious, both can lead to incredible amounts of possibilities for gameplay and actually make fun!

for me there is nothing I don't like at all, because the stuff I wouldn't like to do.. well.. I'm incapable in terms of art, too lazy to learn rgss (But oh well, I should, someday.) and despite having a huge interest in music, I can't really compose because I lack both the right tools and experience. :D

I think my most favorite part is conceptualizing ideas whether it has to do with story, characters, gameplay, or style, whatever it it that's what I most enjoy. I also love writing and making the characters as well as drawing ideas of what they would look like. Out of making all the resources for a game, I have the most fun creating face-sets.

More not-so-fun work for me is spriting. I can do it pretty alright but when it comes to making character sets it puts me in a bad mood all the time. It's really aggravating to me so I try hard to keep to just editing and keeping those edits to a minimum, but even then I find it aggravating. Editing tiles (in vx style) I don't mind... it's just something about the sprites. Coming up with puzzle ideas is another one that gets me annoyed. I'm new to it and not very good at it and it's so weird to me so that it really makes me frustrated and sometimes I just want to shut off my brain when I get it done. XD!

I like almost everything, except debugging, which is quite tedious. Coming up with stuff for NPCs can be a bit boring, too.

I really enjoy making these things, and sometimes my preferences might swap for a while but:

What I like the Most:

Scripting, fiddling around with it, and Databasing/Eventing ~ and ideas

Not as Much:

Mapping, Scenes(Though sometimes I get really excited about them!)

Don't like at all:

Balancing. GUHHHHHH it can be difficult.

Making graphics also can be tedious.

It seems balancing is the most boring part. I too hate balancing. Perhaps, Enterbrain may need to come up with idea that makes balancing fun and enjoyable.

Usually the most fun part is the 'next' part. I always get ideas and want to skip ahead before I've finished all aspects of one part of my game. It can get tedious at times fine tuning all the details, and I'd rather be going onto something new and exciting.

Am I the only one who enjoys balancing?

Anyways, my most liked part in making my games is the gameplay like "My Own" battle system, other unique things which is rarely or never found in other games.

And my hatest part? Making graphics from scratch. I hate making this since birth and also I hate those people "only" focused on graphics and only graphics in the game. I only rely on generators and existing graphics from other resources.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
