So I was wondering, what's everyone's goals for life? what do you expect to do before you die? What steps are you taking to get there?

Personaly, I'd love to travel the world, and do things like spelunking, parasailing, skydiving. I'd also like to see the amazon rainforest at one point, as well as wild african anaimals.

Sounds like a bucket list to me.

Probably the only goals I have in life are:

- Move to the countryside and enjoy the simple life.

- Adopt a Mountain Burmese dog.

- Spend time with my beloved family and friends.

Other than that, I'm pretty much content with my life as it is. ^^

This is a tough question, man.  I seem to have different goals every year. LOL.

"To see with eyes unclouded"... oh, and maybe get a bunch of cool stuff and meet awesome people in the process. I think it's a good goal, because the cool stuff never ends and you meet new people everyday.

I eventually want everything I own to be a product of my own efforts; Literally everything.

I know its practically impossible, but it always gives me something to strive for and I end up learning a lot of practical knowledge.

I think its a romantic notion that validates my self-worth by surrounding myself with the value that I have produced (by myself and for myself).

My main priority in life is living. Yes, I like to do things. I sometimes like to be known for doing things. But I've never really cared much about any of that resulting in fame or money. I'm pretty happy if I have enough to live and have just enough time to do the things I love. I also like to help people. My current job is nothing fantastic in terms of pay or effect on society but I get to help people a lot, no matter how small.

My current goal is trying to graduate from university without dropping out (the struggles are getting harder and harder mostly due to various reasons and not so much its difficulty).

The rest of my goals,

-Get the job of my dreams (character designer or comic artist)

-move to Singapore (i love my home country, but S'pore's got a lot of better things that my country doesn't have)

-Related to above, acquire plentiful money to live a comfortable life (for a single person or two)

-Make and release a few games or so (eyeing visual novels/dating sim and casual adventure rpgs or similar)

-Fluency in Japanese (according to a local friend who's fluent in it and my teacher, JLPT N2 is as close to native speaker level. N1 is considered scholar level)

-Be acknowledged (in positive ways, not negative) for works I've made, especially ones that made it big

-Becoming better with not just my main skills but other skills as well such as handcrafting and writing.

I'm not big on the whole marriage relationship deal (I don't really see myself in love and wedded to my future spouse in the future, nor do I feel the great need to pursue it, I feel pretty happy without a significant other). I don't plan on having kids either (although I don't mind options of adopting) and it's not like I'm the first born that pressure for such is stronger (I'm the last born). I'm more inclined to stick with the family I grew up with and close friends.

I simply want to live a normal life with the person that I love... Which no matter how simple it sounds to be, the possibility of it happening is quite low...

And oh well, make games that people would play. No matter how small of a part it is, I like to be a part of other people's lives.

For the most part, I'm satisfied with the life I've lived thusfar. Most of my major aspirations have already happened (though they are mostly mundane, never been much of a fame and fortune seeker or anything) but let's see.

I'd like to complete the game I'd worked on off and on for years now (though I haven't touched it in four months now so... Yeah). Other than that, it'd be really great if I could figure out a way to get the twins on the same sleep schedule, so I could sleep more in turn. I'd also like to travel the world I guess, though I don't really see that happening anymore (talking full vagabond, living out of the car and doing odd jobs in small towns for gas and food, with no accountability to anyone.) did that for about a year out of high school around the states; I'd always planned to go elsewhere to, just didn't work out that way.

That's about it I guess, haven't really thought about such things in a while.

What do I want from life? Just an experience, really.

In the short-term, I'd like to finish up at university as quickly as possible. In the even shorter-term, I'd like to finish up these DS sprites that are staring me in the face. But, uh, there's always tomorrow for that.

In the long-term... I don't know. I'd love to see more of the world, meet new people, maybe pick up a new language or two. That said, I'd be just as content staying near family and friends, and being there whenever they need me. If I meet someone along the way, great. If I don't, that's fine too. At the end of the day, I'd just be fine knowing that one of my terrible jokes has made somebody cringe.

@frostyfirefly: where is that quote from?

@gradian: Sometimes a lovelife can just sneak up on you. That attitude is probably where it happens the most. So you may not see yourself in a relationship or getting married now, but there's no denying the fact that it could definitly happen

@tyler kendric: You could always live in the middle of nature somewhere, then everything you owned would be a product of your efforts :p

Short term goals:

- complete a tileset

- graduate from uni

I'd love to learn Spanish myself, and not just because I'm attracted to there women.

I have my own garden, we get fresh vedgtables every spring through summer. I'll post pictures next summer. What kinds of plants do you like to grow?

Well, living things like to live i guess

It's good that you love your job. what kind of job is it?

I don't belive I expected anyone to say something so simple. But I do understand what it's like to wish your life were more simple and everything to just be "Go!Go!Go!" all the time, or too many crazy things come up. I think we all do, It's just part of the human condition

@oddball : I seriously considered becoming a mountain man at one point.  But, my aspirations were too large, and my ability to learn would have been severely hindered.

I do plan to eventually build my own home, small farm, toll road, etc.  But right now I'm focused on generating enough money to fund those aspirations.

In a similar spirit, because of the annoying red tape I always run into, I am working to accrue enough wealth/power to diminish the power and influence of others over myself.  I much rather focus on building, than navigating bureaucratic hurdles.  Getting enough wealth to pay these problems away is an important first step.

That's an interesting question and I bet no one ever expected it coming. I just want to live great and die painlessly. That's it.

Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...
