What does everyone use to chat these days?

So its been a good few years since i picked up RPG maker..and i have decided too once again. I was just wondering if the IRC and whatnot are still used? if not where does everyone chat RM

But, no, really, I think we just use the forums. Or reddit. or youtube....or tumblr.... okay pretty much all of the inter-webs.

Some communities have some way of communication, but it ends up falling on their user's preference.


Skype chat groups, Slack, Dischord, IRC, Chatango... Facebook, Google Hangouts...
