I was just watching a longplay of a game my niece and nephew used to play, "Rabbids Go Home". For those who don't know, the object is to collect tons of "stuff" and build a pile to reach the moon. Sounds easy? Nope. There's traps, dogs, huge drops, and VERMINATORS. And to win each level, find an XL item and take it all the way to the rendezvous in the restroom. You heard me right. It's a little gross, but I liked it until I started having dreams about the Rabbids coming into real life.
The Rabbids can certainly infiltrate other dimensions as of "Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle". But if they invaded our reality... what would you do? Here's my take.
I have made up several stories about my sonas over the years fighting against the Rabbids. The first was after coming home from Indiana after first seeing the "Rabbids Go Home" game. My sona at the time was Rosie Sparks, and she, Cora, and Mika had heard of the Rabbids, codenamed the "Neighs" (at the time I used the word "neigh as a noun to describe someone crazy), and Nelly the Witch's ancestor had created them. The Fairy Queen, the Queen of Majestica, and several other forces trapped the remaining sixteen deep in the earth, trapped in a cage. Nelly found a spell to free them on the day the ground opened to reveal their cage, and they began wreaking havoc on Majestica.
Rosie Sparks, Cora, and Mika are all demispirits, which is something I made up for that universe and may bring back. So they have supernatural powers--something the Rabbids don't have. Eventually the three manage to trap the Rabbids again, and Majestica is saved.
Another concept was created for another AU and sona, but I can't remember it. Then my current AU, the Mintyverse, and my current sona, Major Minty. I thought more about what the Rabbids would do with normal people in a normal world, like they do in most of the games (after they dropped Rayman). So now it's a little more like Gremlins... and I stopped there until today.
I decided to post this because I know the Rabbids are a popular game series, or at least they were when I knew them. In fact, I came to like them! Maybe if they were real, I could befriend them, and perhaps even teach them how to be civilized. What would YOU do? Would you try to defeat them? Befriend them? Grab your camera and film everything from the sidelines? Leave it below! What if the Rabbids invaded our world?
P.S. My sidekick in the Mintyverse, Bendy from BATIM, can't stand those Rabbids. He did spray them with ink a few times, and they hated it because it didn't come off for days. Thus we could tell if it was always the same ones stealing our things. Then he tried Glow Ink, which allowed us to follow them and find their HQ. Not totally worth it...

Rayman>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Rabbids.

Their introduction pretty much ruined the franchise. It only recovered with the 2D games somewhat.

As for the thread, I'm pretty sure there are Rabbid games where exactly that happens.

@Beregon I never really liked Rayman games anyway... but still, the Rabbids took a while to earn my love.

What the cheesy chicken mc nuggets is this? This is the most random, off-topic thing I have ever seen in this forum. How old are you exactly? If you have actually nieces and nephews, I don't think that playing Rabbids and making fan-fiction is really the most appropriate use of your time. Also, if the rabbids ever invaded our world (which is impossible because they are fictional beings and even the most powerful fictional beings are totally helpless against us, as seen in Bravely Default. Literally the only beings in video games that have ever been able to match us celestials in anything really are Providence from Bravely Second (tried to delete our save file but was stopped by one of the in-game characters.) Gruntilda from Banjo Koozie (actually can delete your save file in the N64 original, but can only do it if you "consented" to it. Though since she's a devious witch, she obviously tried to use your curiosity against you to trick you into "letting her" delete your save.) and Monika from DDLC. (who become self-aware, killing all the other characters, corrupted the game, and altered the very code of her world in order to turn the game into a simulation where only she exists and all you can do is talk to her. The only way to "defeat" her is to delete the game's files.) No other "fictional" character was able to match us, and even then they were all defeated and even if they did "win," their "victories" would not even affect us. If providence succeeded in deleting our save file, we could just not play the game anymore and quit in rage. This causes despair strengthening providence, but even if providence became powerful enough to become unsealed and destroy Luxendarc, we would not be affected at all. Same goes for Monika. Even if you weren't able to delete her file, you could just not play the game anymore, making Monika's entire plan pointless. For Gruntilda' it's my theory that she doesn't actually have the power to delete saves and only could do so because you "allowed her to." No matter what these fictional characters do, they cannot harm us, at least physically, because even their entire "plans" and "abilities" are all just created by other humans IE celestials in order to humor other celestials. They actually don't have any control, even they claim they do. In the end, they are just lines of code, while we are beings of flesh and blood. Our consciousness is far beyond them, so much so that our very thoughts, dreams, and creativity can create entire lesser worlds. To them, they are real beings living out their every-day life, but to us they are just merely our creations, set to do exactly what we programed them to do. The same goes for rabbids. They are just lines of code, and can never actually access our own world. The opening cutscene of Mario VS Rabbids took place in the Rayman universe, not the real world, mainly due to all the weird technology which obviously doesn't exist IRL. The Mario franchise and therefore the majority of Nintendo (since Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Metroid, Star Fox, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, and F-Zero all exist in the same universe.) is a fictional world in the universe of Rayman, similar to how Verum Rex aka FF Verses XIII is a fictional world in the universe of Kingdom Hearts/Disney, but isn't a higher world, just a parallel dimension, or "worldline." Some worldlines are exactly the same but with slightly different histories, (for example, Steins;Gate) while other worldlines are completely different universes. (like KH/Disney universe / The Realm of Light and Darkness and Quadratum aka Verses XIII / Verum Rex world.)

Wow. I know they're not real, and I always did, but I used to be afraid of them when I was little. Also you kind of insulted me. It's not important anyway. I'm a jerk, should this thread be locked? Am I a fricking idiot to lighten the mood and bring some light into the dark times with something I like?

The rabbids? I really like those games. Me and siblings used to play Rayman Raving Rabbids 1 & 2 on the Wii when we were little. :)
Yeah I remember in the second one there was minigames about the Rabbids invading the real world lol

I'd probably just run for my life. XD

Of course not. Don't feel bad. There's plenty of threads on this forum of people discussing games they like. Your thread is fine. :):thumbsup-right:

BUT THEY CAN DO BOTH XD

Lol

I wonder how one'd "Rabbid-proof" an area, though. Something that can't be brute forced I guess :p

I personally was caught off guard how much I really liked the Mario and Rabbids game, it's like a not so serious XCOM with rabbids humor with mario jumping mechanics. The rabbids in general are a little too crazy for me as I am a more serious type person. If Rabbids were real? I likely would treat them as something that needs to be contained for the safety of humanity lol

I've been working furiously on a small demo slice. But with King Slime so busy assets have been slow to form. No matter! I've got the demo for rpgmaker MZ and I'm using the 20 days to make a short and sweet demo game of fighting alongside your rival/boyfriend hehe Kind of like a mini challenge to myself
Yes my images are back ^^, hopefully they won't disappear again.:kaoangry:
It's Sunday. Stop working and take a break. Relax a little.
Ooops ended up trying out making my own A2 tile page instead of testing doors everywhere. Went well so far I think.
I guess I'm done making a blue squirrel's life difficult for posting new threads on different forums.
That's just for today so don't get used to this, squirrel-ish friend! :p
