Hello

I've been having problems with exporting my game..

basicly it's a demo, one-level, one-map, so i expect it to be 1 or 2 mb after exporting

but when i export it by clicking

File > Compress Game Data

i ended up with a 300mb file

how is this even possible? ._.

What is the right way?

No that sounds about right. You have to remember that there are many things that add up the product outside of what you add to it. The  music that comes with it alone is 200MB. If you use the Export option you're doing it right.

You have included the RTP in the archive. That includes every basic graphic and resource available for the editor, even if not used in your game.
However, this is only neccessary for people who are new to RM.

For those people who play many RM-Games, it's better not to include the RTP, as they usually have it for the other games as well.

If you do not include the RTP and someone who doesn't have RM wants to play, there will be an error message that the RTP needs to be installed.

The can download a separate RTP-installer when clicking on "downloads - run time package" top right on this site.

Yeah actually the "Audio" folder is like 90 mb for its own

That means any one who wants to play a game made by RM should have RM installed?

Because my friend who wanted to test the game had the same message..

I didn't know that, i thought the exported game haves the Data of its own or something :D

Andar is saying that if you include RTP those without RM can play it no problem. (but the file will be large)

If you do not include it, a non RM owner would have to download the free RTP to play it in addition to your download with your game.

To reduce size, people often leave out the RTP, since the people playing are often RM owners already.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
