Lol wtf, am I seeing things or is there a restriction on how small a map can be?

I want to make a 15x15 map, but it says it can only be 17x15...

I rather not see a ton of black/void on the outside of my maps(which sadly shows up in game, I wish the game just didn't show areas where there's no tiles at all), so I have been trying to be extremely precise about the size I make the maps.

There would be black/void outside of your map even if you could make it less than 17x15; the screen viewport is the same size regardless. Just make a 17x15, and don't fill in the empty spots. Or fill them in with what you'd like to be outside your 15x15 area.

The default size of the vxace screen is 544x480. Making the map smaller will cause graphical errors while playing the game, like map popping (map pops from one edge of the window to the other). This can be observed if you increase the size of the screen and have the smallest map possible via scripts.

There's really no way to avoid the black void unless you make the window smaller

I know, but my map is exactly 15x15 with every cell having a tile on it, as It's perfectly Square.

Sadly that looks like what I'm gonna be forced to do.

To Seia: Ok.

I just don't see the problem, as no matter what you do, as long as the viewport is that size, you'll have some sort of border outside your 15x15 map area :)

RMMV
Even if you COULD make a 15x15 map, the window size is 17x15. It WOULD show 2 tiles' worth of blackness, even though you didn't put it on your map.

There is nothing you can do about this. Better to just accept it, and either leave an empty column on both sides of the map or fill it in, depending on your preference.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
