THERE ARE NO LONGER ANY THEME SONGS ON TELEVISION SHOWS!!! How am I to know what the show is about - have I got to actually WATCH IT?!


What is this? What kind of moron shows credits racing by within 1.8 seconds?! Do the unions know about this? And why is half the show filled with commercials? Are the shows supporting the commercials or is it the other way around?! Well, I'm putting this non-pc stuff here (compare this to whats on NOW!!!): And stay on topic about tv here... things are too messed up to go into EVERYTHING that is WRONG!!!

But even anime I noticed no longer has three and one half minute intro songs! I mean, is it even worth watching if I have do download the OST just to enjoy it?! NO! No, it shouldn't! Mainly because your wasting time and money on elaborate openings that people are just going to skip now. And without a long opening that means there's more room for commercials and thus more money for the show. As for animu, Most of a season's budget and effort is spent on Opening and End credits. And then you get some famous up incoming band or idol to do the music and the those opening and ending scenes pay for themselves.

What show?! At one time a 30 minute show lasted 23.5 minutes! Nowadays, it's only 2.35 minutes long! And it continues week after week - no end in sight! Just one long boring monotonous show! The last time I watched Law and Order it was about some people at McDonalds! Where's the show?! Besides, filming an opening ONCE and then reusing the same footage over and over for years isn't saving money, I don't know what is!

For 11 years they used this! Maybe they spent 1 million up front for the song and the right to fool with art, but even by 1983, the single went platinum and they more than made the money back! I mean... 11 YEARS!! COME ON! Now you're grasping at straws!

Well for one an half hour show was never really 30 minutes. I believe before the 90's it was 24-26 minutes including the opening and closing credits with the rest being commercials. Now it's about 21-23 minutes with the rest being commercials. With live action shows it's best to just get the show going because of our now various options of TV shows and short attention spans, you have to grab the audience as fast as possible before they can change the channel.


With animation you draw in an audience with the flashy opening to get them invested and then as the season goes on you can drop the quality a bit and use more shortcuts to save money.

the little telly I watch I have noticed that there's like commercials every 5 minutes. It makes it hard to enjoy when there's commercial breaks all out the wazoo. Be it over the air or cable, it's always buy something NAO. ugh...
