Cel, you're not the only shorty here. I'm 5'6"/1.67m. Yes, we're shorties in the land of the tall.

I heard the average height for young boys is over 5'11 there in the Netherlands, is this true?

(This question is referred to Celianna too)

If yes, this might make the Dutch people as the tallest in the whole world.

Also, you may be short in your country Laura, but 5'6 is actually an above average\tallish height for a woman in almost every other part of the world, it's basically the equivalent of a 6'0 man.

I'm 5'5" and 3/4ths and while that should be pretty average for a girl for some reason most girls I know are taller than me, in the 5'7" to 6'1" range.  A few of my friends would tease me about being short which really bothered me.  Since I'm not actually short it felt like they were all just trying to make themselves feel better at my expense.

160 here. Used to only wear shoes with 5cm heel or more. My knees began to protest after some time.

How come you find out about growth-hormones after you have come to the point where they no longer work the way you want them to?

Quite a few not-tall people here, let me add to your numbers! 156cm (google says it's 5 feet 127⁄64 inch. I don't quite get this... erm, non-metric system). Stopped growing when I was 15. It's quite fun around that size. I'm below many people's line of sight, so they often don't really notice me at first and I never have to worry about hitting my head. Plus, it's easy to evade tall people blocking the way. Or those guys with clipboards who stand around bus and train stations and try to get your signature for something or want to talk you into signing a mobile phone contract or how it's called. I have a huge dislike for those clipboard-people. Being not-tall helps in them not noticing and thus talking to me (if this doesn't make sense, I blame it on my headache).

I'm 5'7'', but I'm always wearing heels it seems xD

Somehow, I'm taller than most of my friends (except a few 6'+ guys), so I get to enjoy an exciting life of grabbing things off the top shelves for everyone. As with all heights, being tall has its merits, so I don't mind having to help out some shorter folks every once in a while.

I'm 5'10" but every time I'm unable to figure something out in RPGmaker I suddenly feel a little shorter. :stare:

I evade all unpleasant people on the street by using Scary Face.
Doesn't work since those people usually don't see my face. Especially when I'm wearing a hat or a hood. D: Otherwise, good strategy.

so I don't mind having to help out some shorter folks every once in a while.
On behalf of all the people who need stuff grabbed off of top shelves: thanks! Thanks to people like you, people like me don't cause a catastrophe in grocery stores. <3

You gained two inches now?

Must be this thread, so it's 5'5 not 5'3, I also expect to grow to 6'6 so I can finally become the next Michael Jordan.

Indeed! Short people will definitely conquer the world!

I really hope so, because then we can finally find a good excuse to congratulate with them like this:

I'm just joking around a bit guys, please don't take me too seriously. :guffaw:

That sounds like an awful lot of stretchmarks if you grew that quickly.
I don't think it's abnormal, I got my half a foot in a summer between grades 7 and 8. No stretch marks except the ones on my tummy... and that's not from that. :p

I'm 5'10 and 1/2 tall.  And I think the average height for women is around 5'3 or so, so 5'1 isn't as short as it seems.

Besides, I've heard shorter people live longer.

The height wasn't what gave me stretch marks. It was gaining half again my weight in a very short time.

I'm 6'2 (189 centimeters), broad shouldered and have an intimidating scar across the bridge of my nose (though it wasn't gained through intimidating means) so I witness frightened looks and parents grabbing hold of their children just by going to the grocery store alone sometimes. I'm actually the shortest grown man in my family as well. My wife is 5'1 and most of her family are also short, so how our kids will turn out is anyone's guess at this point.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
