It's the new layer that causes the issue Try drawing the same tile on top of it 3x so it would completely overwrite the one below it. It is a bug we haven't been able to fix yet.

Unfortunately, if you draw with the same tile that's already on top, it doesn't do the replacement thing.

Draw over it with a completely different tile, and then draw what you really want, in the correct order.

Also, where did those roof tiles come from? I think they would only show like that in the editor and differently in the game if the roof tiles had a star for passage setting, but I didn't think you could do that with the A tiles (except maybe A5). So if you have a star on your roof tiles, if they're in A5 or the B-E sheets, the solution might be as simple as removing the star. I suspect that's not the case though, as it looks like you want to be able to walk around there.

I originally had this problem when I tried to replace different patterns of trees to make a border on one of my maps. The best way to do it is the draw over the affected areas with the white and grey checkerboard (blank) tile and then redraw what you wanted in those tiles originally. Like Archeia said, it has to do with RMMV's new 3 layers texture system. Your editor sees the layers one way but the game is seeing them another way. Just try my quick fix and see if that helps you. It did the trick for me.

I ran into this problem myself, until I discovered 3 rules to use....especially with flat roofs and angled houses. I follow these rules, and I never have a problem now, like the one in your pictures. Here are the rules I follow:

1. Always try to make each section of an angled house at least 3 spaces wide, and it is usually best to make each section an odd number wide instead of even.

2. Always draw the complete roof overhang edge tiles, before filling in the flat, top tiles....and, most important of all....

3. Never let any object touch the "BACK EDGE" of the structure!! (note that your chimney and ladder both are touching the back line.)

Just try using these 3 guidelines and I think you will get much better results.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
