Well I like Galv's scene shop because you can put up images of the shop keep if you wanted. And you could change them to have different reactions depending on what you did, like if you just looked through the menu and didn't buy anything. You could tie the shop to have random sales and discounts depending on switches and variables.

already implemented with My Scene_AI lol that's my main features in my shops script however it's more develop than Galv's one

in simple you can have each shopkeeper their own answer and  personalities and they have plenty of reactions to it (like when a haggle fail it's put the shopkeeper in bad mood lol)

Stock. I like being able to see that you can only buy so much of one product before it runs out.

I always liked the idea that a shopkeeper only buys what s/he can sell, or that s/he likes. For example, a rare stone to a jeweller would go for much more than to a general store, since that's their market, while I doubt a jeweller would buy herbs.

And man, would getting exactly what a shopkeep wants make them happy.

And maybe random stock also? That way everytime you go to shop there, it's not just the same "Potion, Antidote, Sword, Armour" setup every time.

What about merchant gold? Like in Skyrim, for instance. Every merchant has a set amount of max gold they can work with and it increases when you buy and decreases when you sell. Would work fine with NPC's idea, I think. :)

I mean certain shopkeepers only buy certain things. If you picked up a hunk of gold from a dungeon, not every shop would buy it, and some shops will pay more for it if it's their specialty.

How about an "undo" function - some way to buy back items you accidentally sold (for the price you sold them for), and sell back items you accidentally bought (for the full price).

I want some features of classic adventure game mechanics, turn based platfoorming, and rewardless battle systems. The rewards relocated elsewhere.

This is more of a mechanic than a menu aesthetic, but I think there should be a discount for buying in bulk.

How about a system were you can trade a item for anothet item of equal or less value, and if you trade it for something less, you get gold back equal to the difference. Or sometimes an item whoes value equals or is close to the difference

I just want to say that trying to put everyone's idea into a single script is a bad idea... You simply don't do something like that.

Anyway, Hmmm... As long as you can buy and sell that's good. Instant SELL ALL would be nice.

i think this could be easily done with randomly set variables and conditions in the event page. You might need a script for number in stock thoughNpcs idea could be done with event conditions as well. Unless the shopkeeper had a bunch of items they would buy. Though it would make sense some shopkeepers wouldnt buy certain items dependi.g on there speacilty

He mad, but he cute :kaopride:

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
