What kind of Main Character you prefer?

No archetype. One that is nothing you see in a game, but in real life. A teen who is always picked on by his brothers, but now has no one, takes care of himself and even misses it.

Funny, if you hear funny you will just think first is smile. Trust me, always smile will make your day. Funny peoples who jokes around that didn't hurt peoples is funny. But peoples who joking but kinda hurting people isn't funny in that way. I'm not the people who always like hurting other peoples.

I generally don't care as long as the character is interesting and well rounded. I would like it if they could have flaws so I'm not playing an overly perfect character but as long as they've got a personality that's engaging I'm good.

Personally I like characters like Rodney McKay and Daniel Jackson from Stargate. But you don't find may of them as the main characters of games. I like characters who are sarcastic, caustic, but have hearts of gold. If there were more character like that I would totally play more games. lol.

My other favourite character is a bad guy turned good... most because they are also very, wonderfully, sarcastic.

These type of characters will make the game more memorable. IMO.

I like almost any hero, who feels realistic but even more importantly has some proper character development. Nothing ticks me off, like seeing the hero remain their stagnant selves. Then again, the development is what will make them feel three dimensional. They were someone else in the past and will have learnt something in the future. ;^; <3

Even characters, who have been complete *******s, can turn into lovable ones.

I don't have any particular preferences tbh, as long as they're well developed their attitude doesn't really matter much to me.
I completely agree, but if there attitude is mopey the entire game...it's sort of a downer. I get that's the point of developing a character...but please don't be a wuss about it.

I like the strong silent hero type. Like the one's you know are thinking a lot but don't talk an extreme.

I generally prefer an upbeat attitude in my heroes instead of the broody, mopey, tragic guys.

I'm currently playing Bravely Default, and I like how the four heroes complement each other: gentle, steadfast Tiz; spiritual, determined Agnes; frank, resolute Edea; and libidinous yet shrewd Ringabel.

In my own game, the MC, Duran, is friendly bookworm. His allies come to include a brash-but-sweet tomboy, an animalistically honest wildman, a lady knight whose seen many campaigns, a charitable thief, a naively courageous priestess, an undercover cop and a mischievously wise witch.

I like the Lazy/Laid back character probably without the Lazy tho. Sort of like Zidane from FF9.

One of my main chracters in my game i'm creating is a mixture of Laid Back/Rude/Funny/Womanizer, whereas my other main character is Brave/Righteous/Unwilling hero.

Someone who can die, experience fear and basically anything that shows that he's vulnerable.

Also, somone who's not overpowered to the point that his allies could just sit a battle out and the main character would still kick ass.

I prefer having these ridiculously perfect characters as supporting ones instead.

I like selfless heroes.

Anybody can be a hero.

Regardless of their age, sex, experience.

Regardless of what motivates the character to start walking the path of the hero, whether it is altruism, adventure, or profit, it is selflessness that keeps them on the path every time.

I don't have a specific preference. Other than being able to relate to the main character to some degree, what's important to me is that he/she fits in nicely with the rest of the world and has a chemistry with their team (doesn't necessarily have to be a positive chemistry, it's even funnier/more gripping when the MC disagrees and argues with other team members constantly and hence creates friction). I guess even if the character is internally conflicted (for a good reason) it often makes them interesting and that throughout the course of the story perhaps they change and 'find themselves', or even better have their initial biases and prejudices challenged by the events that transpire. A character that is dynamic basically. When the way they are at the start and the way they are at the end are two entirely different individuals.

I always love a good story about an anti-hero. Someone who does something for personal gain, rather than for the greater good. The darker and more disturbing the anti-hero, the more blurred the line between hero and villain is, the better.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
