I'm fairly new, but I like to think of myself as starting the transition from needing more help than I'm giving...
To giving more than I need.
Helping is great, and especially at this point, where I'm still learning.
It's a confidence boost to be able to look back on the stuff I've learned in a couple weeks and assist a newb like I was. (Still am, haha.)
Plus, even though I'm new to RPG Maker, I've been tearing apart electronics since I could hold a screwdriver, and I can connect almost anything to anything else.
I had the extreme curse/blessing to work for Microsoft back when I was 18-19. Until they sent my contract to India. Yay for Free Trade, right?
It does give me an edge in Hardware and Networking, so if you ever have a general PC/Internet question, I probably know the answer.
