What kind of plugins/scripts are you looking forward to?

I'm really looking forward to scripts of animated enemy battlers including using the character generator to create an enemy character and importing the character as an enemy that can be animated.
this is done with the pre order you get some animated battlers for the side view jazz

What are you talking about? The enemies are not animated by default. The fans are talking about releasing a plug-in that would allow enemies to be animated. I need it so that I could generate characters and put them in as enemies and have them be animated.

the pre order comes with some "animated" battlers as a bonus :D

But don't you need a script or a plug-in in order to use your animated characters to have an animation?

This is what I want to do: Use a character generator to create enemies. Put enemies in the engine. Then make them animated so when they attack or cast a spell there is an animation. Can I do it without an extra plug-in?

I'm personally hoping for the following :)

  • Simple MMO Style Quest system. Pickup, do, hand in.
  • Crafting script with multiple categories for easy sorting and crafting.
  • Gathering system. This can mostly be done by events but there might be reasons to tie into the crafting system a bit more. I wanted ores to generate back after time not right away not when zoning but after a few hours.
  • Basic Multiplayer someday down the road. I don't mean sync movements or even quite a full login system maybe via a hash that is generated at runtime and that lets you join a small server if it's via php or a actual binary. You can do maybe very basic cute things. Pick a name online, send mail, maybe leave notes on signs, trade, small things nothing big and fancy. Even just a slight hint of knowing there is other life out there.
I also sort of want Yanfly to do most of these only because he has always had a solid track record and I find sometimes mixing with other Plugins when comes to UI's does not always blend as well.

I'd be interested in a battle plugin similar to Xenogears. Also, a weapon upgrade system (instead of having multiple weapons have one per character than can have different upgrade slots)... just some ideas

I forget which one but I'm sure there's a plug in for that already announced.I'd be very interested in a crafting or alchemy plug in too.

well what i have in mind would work more like FF7 materia slots as opposed to, what seemed to me, like consumable items that disappeared on use. i could just be misinterpreting the video i saw of that plugin and will know more when i can actually fiddle with it tomorrow. Crafting/alchemy would be super awesome

Yeah I'm not sure how close FF7'S material mechanic you could go but there was a remove item that took the items out of the slots. I'm not sure if that put them back in your inventory though and it looks like you may have to remove all the slots at once not one at a time.

ace and vx have scrips that almost complete this action

A Pokémon system!! It was a pain to recreate it in RPG Maker VX Ace =[ Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaase make it happen xd

GIF support within battles please. I wanted to recreate a Pokémon game so if the enemies and the party members can be GIFs, it would certainly help.

I'd like to see things that were made in VX Ace such as.

1. Map as Title Screen.
2. Map as Splash Screen.
3. Icons as Weapons. (Unless this is already added?)


EDIT:
I'd also like to see "SV_Battlers" be used as enemies too.
So you could design a rival in the character generator for example, and fight it
in battle and it would be animated just like the normal party.

What I'd like to see is a plugin similar to the "Variable Hud" script.

For example, I'd like to have a little text on top of the screen that says "Potion: 10" or something like that.

A UI overlay plugin that allows us to display text, buttons and images on the screen and trigger common events when they are clicked/touched.

I think that would open a huge range of possibilities especially for mobile.

It would be great to be able to put an icon on the screen that opens the menu (a basic example that would improve the experience on mobile considerably).

The plugins included so far have been amazing too, thanks for the hard work.

1. A way to have loot be randomized in a rarity fashion. Like for example, if one item is marked as super rare then it has only a 5% chance to show when *certain script* is called.

2. I've always enjoyed all of your scripts Yanfly, definitely looking forward to more

3. I already bought the game outright on Steam so..... Yeah.. I suppose the new style of scripting and exporting is what drew me in, but mostly the fact that this game is backe by a HUGE community xD
