The Kadokawa links don't exactly work for me. I mean, they take me to the tkool.jp site but not to the specific resource that the link is meant to lead to, and I've scrolled down w/o finding the resource (in at least some cases).

Anyone know how to get ahold of the 1.6.3 assets without downloading the Japanese version of RPG Maker MV? I would like to get my hands on some of those overworld sprites they released.

The enemy walk sprites seem to be available on Steam. It might be worth looking in the DLC for any broken Kadokawa links.

The Kadokawa links aren't actually broken. The correct pack *is* there in the list, about 3/4 of the way down the page. But here is the direct link to the pack with the enemy sprites.

Oh wow, thanks. I did not expect that!

EDIT
Is there an English version of that page?

No problem! Unfortunately, I don't think there's an English version. However, Chrome has a feature that can automatically translate web pages for you, so you can kinda navigate around with that.

I mostly ask because one of the files there has a project file for boats which includes the package characters. Whatever file or text would elaborate on what that means for using those assets is unreadable. I already own the cover art characters DLC so it wouldn't effect me, but I'm still curious as to if they bothered to clarify the rights for them.

Oh wow, good catch. I'm gonna *guess* that them using those characters was probably an oversite or something. But technically, I think that the TOU (translated by Chrome) on the download page is saying that they're fair game:

Sailing ship map project data usage conditions

Code:
These terms of use (hereinafter referred to as "Terms of Use") are the use of Gotcha Gotcha Games Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company") and "Race Game Kit Project Data" (hereinafter referred to as "Project Data"). It shall apply to all relationships with a person (hereinafter referred to as "user"). Users should read these Terms of Use before downloading the project data. You are deemed to have agreed to these Terms of Use when you begin downloading the project data.
  (1) The user can use this material (project data) for free.
  (2) It is prohibited to divert this material (project data) to anything other than "RPG Maker MV" and other Maker series.
  (3) This material (project data) can be arbitrarily processed, modified and used by the user in "RPG Maker MV" without registering as a user of "RPG Maker MV", and this material processed and modified by the user. It is possible to distribute games including the game free of charge. However, if you want to distribute a game created using this material with "RPG Maker MV", you need to register as a user of "RPG Maker MV". Similarly, if you want to distribute a game created using this material in another Maker series, you need to register as a user of the Maker series used in the production.
  (4) It is prohibited to sell the processed / modified material (project data) or to distribute the material (project data) as it is, regardless of whether it is paid or free of charge.
  (5) All rights, including copyrights, neighboring rights, and other intellectual property rights related to project data, belong to the Company and third parties recognized by the Company.

As far as I'm concerned, those faces and character images are definitely part of the "project data", so it's probably safe for people to use them. However, there aren't any SV actor images or character busts, so it's good that you and I already own the DLC anyway.

Micro rant. The worst part of working from home when you live with your family is seeing how inconsiderate they are. "Hey, you're sitting in front of your computer, that means you're not doing anything! I want to put the TV at 200 decibels!"

If I was working in the office would you still talking me like that?
It's definitely discouraging when streamers give a try-to-say-it-nicely (i.e. bad) review of your game demo. It's like jumping into a cold pool. Bad initally, but it gets better with time. And you are now more alert and see better.
