What was your first anime/manga, or how did you get into anime/manga?

I heard about Hellsing, I only saw a thumbnail of the first episode.

FMA's pretty amazing, though Brotherhood is better in terms of story. It just didn't have the same feel moments the original did.

I think most people in the US got started with anime on pokemon. I know i did, I remember being super excited when I watched it on TV in elementary school.

But the anime that really got me hooked on Japanese animation was Cowboy Bebop. That show was awesome. I still like it today too. I actually can't believe nobody mentioned this one by name yet.

It was well dubbed (not in English) and it has great moments. It is Space Opera as genre and it is a movie.
