What's your favorite music genre?

Hey guys this question is 100% totally not related to my game at all, and I'm TOTALLY not making my own music and wondering which musical genre the community likes best, like no wayyy.

(Feel free to comment below if I'm missing a genre)

I listen to everything. Literally. My playlists got stuff from hardcore punk, to dubstep, to 70s rock 'n roll, to Mongolian throat singing, and everything in between. Hip Hop tends to be the genre I always come back to and listen to consistently, though.

In games though - nudge nudge - it varies greatly depending on game genre, obviously. I do have a soft spot for chiptune.

Where is Electro? I like pop, too, but I listen to other stuff too.

I have absolutely everything on my playlist. Metal, classic rock, pop, classical, funk, jazz, game/film. Really, just about everything! There's just too much good music everywhere to pick winners and losers.

If EDM, I better make my own style.

I have quite wide taste in music, and to be honest, I'm not even very good at identifying genres. I tend to grow fond of bands/artists or single songs rather than one genre as a whole. Like @Ms Littlefish said, there's just too music to choose from.

If I -had- to name my favourite genre, though, I'd probably struggle between three. I like power metal for its epicness, eurodance for its nostalgic value and folk rock for its tendency to inspire my creative projects. Funnily enough, quite a few of my favourite artists fall into none of these genres...

I thought I had a wide range of genres in my playlists... until I checked the 2017 Spotify wrapped thing and my top genres were Punk Rock, Pop Emo, Emo, Modern Rock, Pop Rock, and more mishmashes of those words. Haha.

Christian worship rock maybe?
I was a big death metal'ish wannabe type growing up. I became a Christian and that old stuff had to go.. I started listening to stuff and just felt wicked about it so I started listening to Christian music on the radio, and just felt less enthused about it.. didn't listen to anything for a long while.

Some pretty good other bands out there too. Maybe the rocking part isn't the best for you spiritually, but I really don't listen to much music at all anymore. I play a lot of my own, and have friends I am blessed to worship and play music with too. Meow. I've been sick for a while, laid up pretty hard, but I'm getting better. Gives me time to learn how to make video games with this tasty RPG MAKER MV and put music in there.. hehe. And cats. Secret kitties. Meow!
