What's your favorite music genre?

You can't classify Black Metal, Death Metal, Heavy Metal, Gore Metal, etc as all metal as each of those genres has a completely different sound as does every genre...

I've been listening to Steelman (stahlmann) a lot lately and have Dein Got on repeat as well as Supernova! Granted It's New German Hard which sounds weird but has some pretty awesome music, that is if you can understand German... I can understand a bit but not everything. It just sounds awesome so I listen to it

I only wish they would release their Discography on Vinyl and High Resolution 24bit audio files but... only CDs exist which is a huge shame as Vinyl and High Res audio is beloved in Germany

As far as metal goes I've been digging sludge, drone, doom metal and stoner metal. I see post-rock has managed to find it's way into black metal too, so I should check that stuff out.

I like things that crunch.

I'm very accepting towards many different genres of music. My family hates the new fad in terms of music but I find it acceptable as long as it is catchy and entertaining. The only genres of music I don't like is Rap and Country, they sound ugly to me.

Christian worship rock maybe?
I was a big death metal'ish wannabe type growing up. I became a Christian and that old stuff had to go.. I started listening to stuff and just felt wicked about it so I started listening to Christian music on the radio, and just felt less enthused about it.. didn't listen to anything for a long while.

Some pretty good other bands out there too. Maybe the rocking part isn't the best for you spiritually, but I really don't listen to much music at all anymore. I play a lot of my own, and have friends I am blessed to worship and play music with too. Meow. I've been sick for a while, laid up pretty hard, but I'm getting better. Gives me time to learn how to make video games with this tasty RPG MAKER MV and put music in there.. hehe. And cats. Secret kitties. Meow!

Deliverance is some great Christian thrash metal.

Anyway, my tastes are wide-ranging. Mainly metal or electronic, but also folk, punk, and some rock. You can go from death metal, to eurobeat, to grindcore, to trance, to medieval bagpipes, to electro-industrial.

Folk, classic country (which would be considered folk now but isn't), rock (60s-mid80s mainly) alternative and symphonic metal are the genres I gravitate most strongly towards.

I can enjoy pretty much any genre that isn't modern country however (it's all men singing about tractors and how great women are, or women singing about blowing men's heads off with shotguns...the lack of topic variety irks me.)
