What's Your Favorite Pokemon?

Without a shadow of a doubt, Pinsir. And not just because of Guillotine. Pinsir was just so cool to me (for whatever reason). Hands down, it's Pinsir.

Braixen. Specifically, the shiny version; it's absolutely ravishing. Some Pokémon I like better before they hit their final form, and Braixen definitely tops the list. I just love how giddy it is! And those slick moves when it's wielding its stick... yowza!

In second (and first if we're talking utility), it'd be Weavile. Fast and deadly! Plus, I've liked Sneasel since the original GS.

Other honorable mentions:

Gallade

Gardevoir (Always liked it; the shiny Mega is awesome)

Absol (Love that Mega.)

Mawile (Its Mega Evolution is a DEATH MACHINE,; I once took out Aegislash and Mega Mewtwo Y with it alone, two on one, with skillful use of Sucker Punch.)

Goodra (I want to name it "Fatty McLovins" but there aren't enough spaces...)

In the past, I've also used Leafeon, Froslass, Gliscor, and Yanmega. Oh, and I like Espeon too.

For mythicals, I've always liked Celebi, just because it's so awesome and adorable. I like Victini too, but I think they butchered its cry in X and Y.

Scyther.

My first Scyther was nicknamed Dinomantis. (actually it was DINOMANTIS) And that's one reason I like it. It's like part dinosaur, part mantis, all awesome. Scizor's alright, but Scyther's just so much cooler.

Honorable mention for Umbreon, Leafeon, Lopunny, Giratina, and Meloetta! (I probably made a trainer card with these 6 before)

I never watched the show or played the game. i've always caught glimpses of it here and there. I do like the Geodude? The rock snake one.

The rock snake one would be Onix, but Geodude is a close guess.

I used to be a Pokemon fan when I was much younger (I'm 26 now), though it has mostly withered off now. My boyfriend still plays the cardgame at some board game/table-top game shop with his friends.


As for the question... I still love my Vulpix! He's so cute!

My personal favourite(s) will always be Mareep and its evolutions.

Generation 2 has always been my favourite generation, and this guy sealed the deal. He's adorable, he made the Bug gym in Gold/Silver a breeze, and he actually turned out to become one of the most powerful Electric types to date. While Electric types are usually quite frail, this guy takes hits a lot better than others of his type, and thus he gains a lot more benefit out of his ability: Static. This is an ability that becomes devastating against Pokémon that use physical moves once you've beefed up his defensive stats a little. His only downside is his Speed, which is quite a bit lower than that of other Electric types, but that can easily by fixed by using Agility.

I usually play my Pokémon games as ROMs, the only exceptions being Pokémon Red, Silver and Black 2, because I actually own those games. And I was absolutely overjoyed to discover that you can catch a Mareep in Black 2 before even doing the first Gym. But when I play a ROM, I always hack it so I can have Mareep as my starter. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I love almost every pokemon, but my favorite is Metagross. He is awesome and perfect in every way and his shiny makes all other shinys wet their pants.

Honorable mention for Stunfist on the opposite end of the spectrum for being the only pokemon that I have ever hated. People make fun of Trubbish (ugly cute, like a pug) and the Vanillite line (some of my favorite Black and White pokemon), but Stunfist is pretty much the only pokemon I cannot find anything I like about. It's weak, ugly, and it's type makes no sense. Plus...

Arcanine, or Growleth. Probably Arcanine though, I like how Growleth looks better but I always loved Arcanine's name. He's like the dog version of an Arch mage and that's awesome.

That psychic rat that carries a spoon was always cool as well, though I can't remember it's name. (I've never played past the first generation of pokemon games, and it's been a long time since then.)

What is your favorite Pokémon?

I only know of the 1st and 2nd generation Pokémon but one of my all time favorites was Nidoking because in Pokemon Blue/Red you could teach him Ice Beam, Thunder Bolt, Earth Quake, and Horn Drill which made for a good combination, especially in Pokémon Stadium 1 & 2 although Nidoking was vulnerable to certain elements. By the way I always wondered what happens to a Pokémon when inside their Pokéball? How does the Pokémon shrink and how does it not suffocate (other than the fact that Pokémon is a fictional anime)?
