My first computer was a Tandy Color Computer with 16 KB RAM - it was shortly before the Commodore 64 was even available around here, and if IBM-PCs existed back then it was only for business purposes - my first PC (seven or eight years later) still came with DOS 3.0...

I can't remember the first computer I used, that was at school, probably playing Oregon Trail, but the first computer we had at home was... I think 93, I remember the first Pentium had come out recently, but we got a 486 cause of cost. Also, the X-Wing game had just come out and it was awesome.

Man, and I thought I was old!  You must be a Grizzled Ancient!
Well, in my profile photo, I AM wearing Henry VIII's outfit; swiping that took a bit of work, way back when. ;)

Well, my grandma still had an old C64 at home, and back then, 5-year-old me knew more DOS commands than I do now, because of our old computer.

HDD? No one even knew what that was when the I got my first computer (it used tapes to store and save its programs) - even the disc drives with their unbelievable large storage capacity of 360 KB were only available by the time I got my second computer (C64)...

geez, at 2? thats pretty young.

My first computer only have 500MB of HDD on it.
I bet that computer would play far cry 3 with high quality settings right?

ah I wish I knew all the dos commands, the only thing I know is math.

lol the fact that size of 360 was unbelievable is still thought of today...just in a different sense

If we can count as computer a hand held console, I had a Nintendo Game & Watch (Popeye) at the age of 5.

Figured out how to play it instantly.

Then my father got me an Emmerson Arcadia 2001 console.

Later on... at the age of 8 I laid my small hands, on the keyboard of the Commodore Amiga 500!

And I believe this counts as my first computer ever. And also my beloved one. Ahead of its time in many aspects.

A "Pong" tabletop video game we played for 75 cents a life in Annapolis when we went to the Naval Academy dances in my senior year. (1976-77)

The kind of computer we used at the public library when we finally didn't use a card catalog made of cards:

And the terminal I used to work at the U.S. Department of Commerce - yes, the blooming UNited States government coordinated with the world with punched cards, reel-to-reel tapes, amd these things...

(actually mine was not as nice as this!)

First time I used a pc was in late 1995 where I would cut class and go to a friends house. He had win 95 installed and we played Mortal Kombat. I bought my first pc back in 2001 just for games (I was a console guy before that) and it had windows xp and Colin McRae Rally installed for some reason :)

@GrandmaDeb

My father-in-law taught people how to use punch card computers at Keesler Air Force Base when he was in the military all the way into the late 80s. It just blows my mind sometimes to think of how far the proliferation of computers has come just in my lifetime.

(He didn't keep up with computers much after he got out though. He still likes them, but he got way behind the times. I keep hoping to avoid that fate myself).

First computer would have been the Commodore VIC-20, and then the Commodore-64 way back at the start of the 1980's.

My first computer only have 500MB of HDD on it.
Hell, my first pc was dual-floppy drive (5.25") and when I managed to get a hardcard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardcard) it had the massive amount of 40MB.  This was back when games fit on 1 or sometimes 2 *gasp* 3.5" floppy disks.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
