I know there are free to use resources scattered around the web with various terms of use. But I want to actually pay for a license. Yes it may sound crazy when there is free stuff all over the place, but having actually paid for a license makes me feel more secure if any legal issues (god forbid) where to unfold in the futute. Because unless the license was shady to begin with the copyright holder can't turn on me down the road (not that I think that is a common occurrence, but still).

I'm not rich however, so I'm looking for some "extensive" SFX libraries with good quality which still are fairly affordable. Also the license should allow me to use the SFX indefinitely (meaning; in as many games/products as I like from here on to the end of time), royalty free of course.

So if you know of a good SFX pack or a website which sells them, please do share!

Thanks for reading!

Check out Soundsnap, they got a ton of stuff and it's relatively cheap.

The BBC has a huge library if you want to pay.

BBC seems really extensive but 5000 bucks for the packs... Ouch.

Well yeah, 5000 is way too much for a poor indie developer who haven't even gotten his first game out the door yet. :(

Extensive yes, cheap no.

I've been lucky to use this library though during my radio days. Great fun just looking up random stuff.

I'm going to move this to Resource Requests, as I think it's the best fit for this topic.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
