http://yanflychannel.wordpress.com/rmvxa/core-scripts/ace-message-system/ Scroll down to where it talks about changing the text Window sizes.

In the event, there's a event command called Variable Operation[a variable] = number..

He mentions having to tie a variable to rows in his script(but he doesn't show how to do that sigh), however that Variable Operation command has nothing to do with scripting, It's a straight up event command in the editor.

Unless I am blind, the only event command I'm aware of, is the "Control" Variables event command, so what's going on here(is there a different English translation of VX Ace or what)?

You use the default variable controls to adjust text window height/width.

# This variable adjusts the number of visible rows shown in the message# window. If you do not wish to use this feature, set this constant to 0.# If the row value is 0 or below, it will automatically default to 4 rows.VARIABLE_ROWS = 21# This variable adjusts the width of the message window shown. If you do# not wish to use this feature, set this constant to 0. If the width value# is 0 or below, it will automatically default to the screen width.VARIABLE_WIDTH = 22In the configurations, these allow you to choose what variables are used to control height(rows) and width.  By default if you change variable 21 to 1, then you will reduce it to 1 line of text, likewise changing it to 10 will give you 10 lines of text.

Oh ok, I was reading it wrong, I thought that was the size of the rows, didn't realize it was the actual variable being used to control such, thanks for the clarification.

I have the script working then :) , but that doesn't explain why Yanfly's control variables event command, is called Variable Operation(I figured it was the same thing, as Variable Operations is what is being called, but It's just strange that the command is listed differently in Yanfly's Copy of RPG Maker).

It's because that script was written before the English version was released, and Yanfly was using the English patch over the (legally-purchased) Japanese version.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
