I used Photobucket and Imageshack for sharing my images in forums for many years, but recently they no longer allow a free account to post anything on the 3rd party sites like blogs and personal websites anymore. This is problematic as I am trying to get back into an RPG Maker community after college. The catch is that I need to upgrade the account to premium, but I'm not sure if the price will worth it.

I have tried TinyPic. It allows pictures to be posted without a problem, but the name of the image is being edited into gibberish and I fear that people can't find the image with a google search. I would try to stuff images into my personal blog, but it has only 3GB limit and I sometimes don't know if I can direct link them. That said, I find that other people can post and share photos without a problem. Therefore I would like to ask which website I should use to post pictures to share with other people, and whether Photobucket/Imageshack premium worth it for a part time hobbyist such as myself.

Thank you in advance.

as long as you don't have art or resource topics, the forum limit on attaching files is usually enough, especially if you use an image program to reduce filesize.

another alternative to consider is to pay for your own website. even small hoster packets for <5$ per month have more than enough space for your own uploads, and that option has several other advantages, for example being able to put your own MV-project on your own website for others to play.

yes, that is not free and therefore difficult unless you have a job, but in most countries a simple website hosting is cheap enough to be able to use it if you have even a simple minimum wage job.

postimage.org allows direct linking with no fee. That's what I've been using since photobucket decided to do what they did.

Agree with @bgillisp .
I used Imgur back then, but I found a VPN problems.

Postimages is a very good alternative (or even better than Imgur actually).
I still use it even though the VPN problem is gone,
because imo postimages have better interface and have an option to resize pictures. :D

You can and edit and resize pictures in Imgur. I personally don’t care what anyone uses, just thought I would mention it. And I don’t think we’ve had issues with Imgur images here.

imgur these days, used imageshack in the past but they'll delete the file after awhile.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
