first and foremost im sorry for my bad english im From germany
second if i screw something up with my post pls say it

About my problem
i think about 6 days i was doing my last alpha test in rpg maker, Deployed the game for my Friend so he can beta test it. all worked fine. now i wanted to do the next alpha stage but in the playtest i got a whitescreen. nothing happens. F8 console dont shows up.

What have i done:

Updated my gpu but no luck here no updates
Deactivated All plugins
Cried in the shower
Tried a new project everthing working of course
deployed a normal game with all files no hope here whitescreen too
deployed a webgame with used files there i got at least some errors that files are missing. its from a plugin so its a common bug
deployed webgame full and whitescreen there to
moved the game files around my 3 harddrives

The last thing i want to try is to make a new project and copy all my old files. i really dont want to do all skills and animation actors etc new that would be a pain in the a**

Guys youre my last hope. i hope my prayers are heard\.

Stay healthy and sincerly

I wish I could help, but I never see anything like this.
My hint is that somehow the mv can be using another program to open his index.html file.
I think mv is a browser then he uses the index Html to open it. So, maybe you have put another program in windows to open the Html by default, then it's not working.

I have an experience like this but was not with playtesting it was with the help file (F1), when I open the help file it gives me a blank screen. So I changed the default program for open Html files and it worked.

Again, it is only a hint. I don't know for sure how this is happening to you :(

Could you have possibly deployed your game into your project folder? If you go to your project folder, is there a subfolder there named www?

I wouldn't copy the entire js folder. I'd create a new project and copy over all the folders except js. Then go into the js folder and copy the plugins folder and the plugins.js file.

If you copy over your data folder, all the skills, animations, maps, etc are all in there, so you won't have to do them again.

in most cases whitescreen is a driver issue, or more specifically if your display driver does not contain a recent OpenGL library.

And that is exactly the reason why it often happens that Windows-Updates cause problems. OpenGL is a competition for DirectX, and Microsoft's drivers very often disable or reduce OpenGL to get people to use DirectX. But DirectX is Microsoft-only, a program like RMMV has no choice but to go OpenGL (which is available on non-Microsoft-OS).
Updated my gpu but no luck here no updates
How exactly did you do that? If you click on the windows-internal "search for updates" then that is exactly what can cause this error as that driver search prefers the Microsoft-programmed drivers.
You need to go to the manufacturer website (nvidia, AMD, intel or whoever made your display card) and download the newest setup from there, then run it.
If your driver says "Driver Manufacturer = Microsoft" then you got the wrong driver. Don't confuse that with the manufacturer for the gpu...

It isn't a gpu problem wouldn't make sense when a new project is working fine. And I searched even up open gl problems on rpg maker
I'm using a rtx 2080x with an ryzen 9 and 32gb ram. I don't had any problems regardless my setup. And my drivers are all set to auto update via GeForce experience

so i tried copying my files got the whitescreen again. really confusing

when a plugin is disabled. but still in the libary could that bring the whitescreen

ok even without any plugins still whitescreen

So i think i got it. when i was looking through my folder the index file had 0kb. and i thought. what the hell. so i deleted it and replaced it with a new one. all working fine now.
could it maybe that rpg maker has saved the file coruppted? and what is the index file. if i replace it. does it hurt my progress?

The index file doesn't contain any game data. 0kb indicates that the file was damaged - which is no problem in case of the index file, but can destroy dat in case of other files.

it is extremely unlikely that the file was destroyed by the rpg maker, but there are other causes for destroyed files.
where exactly did you save your project? if that is in a restricted location or if it is in a cloudsync'ed folder, then that can destroy your project.

I saw you replied to someone who saved it on Dropbox. But I'm using my C drive. As long as it's now working I'm fine thank u all. It's nice to see that there are persons that are helping in there free time. If I can ask u experts something does anyone can or know someone who is good with music. I need a theme song for my game.

You can also have folders on your C drive that are synced with Dropbox, OneDrive, Steam Cloud, etc.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving!
