Alright, I'll see what I can do-- it COULD be due to some recent policy changes by Imgur, but they never mentioned anything about blocking hotlinked images n' stuff like that so I assumed I'd be fine. Gonna take me awhile though~! so hang in there everyone!

I've been using a similar technique for a while, but once those images are totally deleted (which by now a lot of them are) all I get is this.



I'm sure a lot of you are going through the same thing. It's so frustrating... luckily I saved tons of archives, but I didn't save everything. I wish Imgur had just left things as is though. If it ain't broke, don't fix it... but because they did it is broke now and they have to fix it. If you catch my drift.

imgur had a recent policy change saying any images uploaded without an account would be deleted after a certain amount of time. I had made an account on imgur awhile back when I started using it to upload sprites. As far as I know, my uploads should all be safe. I can still access all the images.

I'm not sure if you had made an account before or if you simply uploaded the images without one, but that might have been the cause.

I don't even use Imgur at all. I just retrieve images hosted there, such as the ones you posted. But I'm starting to find that the images are reappearing. Maybe it was some sort of technical goof on Imgur's end, and we were all making a fuss over something that couldn't be controlled. As I always say, oopsy happens.

aaah I know sometimes imgur can have server issues and sometimes things go down for a bit - usually those are resolved in a few minutes or hours. I didn't think too much of it at the time since it always seem to get resolved pretty quickly, but in this case, I'm willing to change things up to make it a bit more stable for folks to work with~
