Why does the text window sometimes, seemingly at random, become too small for text?

Never happened in MZ... this happens regardless of the size of the paragraph, but when it's long it just displays outside the box, on top of the sprites etc. I can't figure out what does it, as when the playtest is reset it often functions fine again...

This doesn't happen in regular VX Ace with no scripts changing how messages work; are you sure Lune is the only one that affects messages or are you just guessing?

A good way to pinpoint a problematic script is to comment out half of your scripts and see if the problem persists. If it does, you know the problem is in the half you left. If it doesn't, you know it's in the half you commented out. Then keep halving the list and commenting/uncommenting as necessary until you're left with the one that's making your problem happen.

It does seem to be Lune, I added everything gradually and it was still fine until Lune_Message.config(1, event_id)

I was a terrible coder at the time haha, but I think it should get the number of lines and configure it kind of automatically to fit it. Try removing all other scripts related to the message also and then try out mine, it might be some incompatibilities , but it should also be easy to fix if it is.

Try removing all other scripts related to the message

I thought it might be Word Wrapping Message Boxes, by: KilloZapit, but removing it only resulted in still a small box, with the words going beyond the screen... only other one I have is Font.default_size = 18 - but still doesn't seem to conflict.

Move the lune message script lower down on your script list and see if it works.

Send me a copy of your project or demo and I can figure it out 100x faster.
Unless you do a compatibility check. Comment out one script at a time and see if the issue is resolved.
Putting __END__ at the top of a script will comment it out.
