I thought it would be really useful to make my game a web version but it is too big and has too many files.
Okay well why don't I export it and use "exclude unused files"
I keep having issues with exporting it like that where it excludes files I am using. I think they are the files used with some plugins. Does this happen to anyone else?
I think I could manually delete files I've had issues for it still looking for these files even though I know they are unused

checking unuse files gives problem, as it doesn't always knows what
you really used. (so do this manually or make a tiny plugin with only
the @require img/tileset/filename for each file you use on a seperate line.

or just manually from your game if not used.

Plugin's arent the cause of this size, it can be mostly 2 things,
most of the size increase are video and sounds file, if you aim for PC
only, than only OGG is required and mp4 can be removed, if for web or
mobile, you need both.

also, the amound of maps and map sizes matters in this case.

You shouldn't have to remove any of the audio files manually. When you tell it what platform you want to deploy to, it should just include the audio files for that platform.

Exclude Unused Files can be done if you do the above to "save" images used by plugins.

Do you have animations defined in the database that aren't used in the game, by any other database item or in event commands? Just having them in the database will cause the images and audios they use to be included, even if you don't actually play the animations in the game.

But if you have a big game and are using lots of different BGM/BGS tracks and lots of images, your deployed game is naturally going to be big.

Working on a slightly experimental horror game. It will be finished in approximately 88888888888 years.
Y'all will enjoy it though, I put lots of effort into making it stand out.

It's called Red Light and it's inspired by another obscure RPG Maker horror game, but I don't want to give too much away just yet.
Ohh man, Weapon animations plugin feels so mandatory. Seeing that same image regardless of the icon of the weapon....ugh :p
Ok so......Maaaaybe I've taken a ''little'' bit of inspiration from FF9 when it comes to battle hud xD
