Why is there no folder to organize stuff inside the program?

I have used a number of developer programs yet for some reason RPG Maker MZ does not utilize folders that would in essence keep things organized within the software its self.

Stuff like within the database im forced to make like 50 slots merely because i want to keep say items organised making them easier to modify change and add more if needed with the 50 slots available because if i don't and ends up reaching a point where i would have to go into another category it would force me to find a space outside the category just to insert a new thing. Due to the fact i cant move pre-exsisting stuff due to they are already assigned to something and thus would brake them.

The same apply's to maps due to some maps i do name by there purpose rather then giving them a unique identifier i find this odd because the first item on the map UI it has a folder icon for maps.

mostly because the japanese programmer has a different workflow and has limited care and opinion on how other people prefer to work.
there are suggestion topics for the editor as far back as to VXAce, and it is very rare that any of them gets implemented.

the only advice I can give for your situation is to really plan your game - not reserve empty IDs in the hope they will be enough, but really plan what items you will need and make a list of them before entering the first into the database, and then making a small reserve above that what you know and plan to use.

This is organization slightly to the left of what you asked, but...

My trick for keeping resources organized in the materialbase is including a prefix on each file. PC_Ciela, NPC_Shpkp_Red, NPC_Thief_Virgo, NPC_Royal_Celeste, OBJ_Streetlamp_Blue, OBJ_Door_Round, etc. It helps keep like items together.

Granted, I still use XP, which does everything on a single file basis, your materials list might not get so unwieldy using later engines' sheets. In later engines, you'd have to also include the ! and $ prefixes as necessary. But I thought I'd share anyways.

Well, for anyone who cares, Simone has been eating her prescription food for a few weeks and I’m cautiously optimistic it’s helping her quite a bit. She still hasn’t put on any weight but she’s not getting sick every day (has even gone a week between sick days).

When you're watching a stream with four adult, apparently native English speakers. One has never heard the word "wheedle" and the other three can't readily define it for him.
