Ok this is going to be a dooze but I am needing help.

In my game the main villain only ever had one thing that he cared about in the world and that one thing was his wife.

Now in short without giving away details she dies and he keeps her body preserved.

Am going to get hate for this but I really want to have her body kept in a area similar to how Mr.Freeze had his wife in the batman & robin movie.

What I am needing help with is...how could I make it bookshelf move or maybe have a hidden door that leads to this room?

Also would anyone be willing to help me the stand that the wife's body would be hovering over.

I have made the sprite of the wife floating dead but I am in need of a thing she could be over....any advise?

OR better yet how could I make it look?

I know I want some flowers in there because the wife loved flowers but I need away to make it...dark too almost as if this area is untouched by the darkness and this is the last place the husband is himself...almost as if this is his inner light slowly being deemed out by the darkness.

Hey Victor. Moving the bookshelf would be the same as moving any other object through eventing. Essentially you could set it within a switch, the bookshelf itself or anything else you plan to use to trigger the move.

  1. Create an event, use the graphic of a bookshelf and name the event as bookshelf.
  2. On the switch (or other trigger), go to Set Move Route and use the dropdown to select the bookshelf.
  3. Then select Move Right (or whichever direction).
  4. Next select Control Self Switch and turn on 'A'
  5. On the next page, on the left check the Self Switch and set it to 'A'.
  6. Now repeat steps 2-4, moving the shelf back and turning off Self Switch 'A'

I cannot do spriting so someone else will need to help you out there. Don't forget to check out some of the beginner tutorials, too. They will help out a lot for things like I have listed above.

The one that got me started is located here. This one is also very good.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
