I see so much hate about this console on Youtube while I eat my delicious popcorn BD people really feel strongly about it. When I think about it myself..eh I don't really feel too much one way or the other. To be honest It is just the cost, have to save up for such a big purchase of course but besides that I just don't feel like I am missing out on anything.

Now with that being said I will say that the entire reason I am wanting to get a WII U is because of the Baynota 1&2 bundle!

But maybe I am missing something, so what do you guys think? Is there some great reason to have one? Or a better reason not to?

The way I see it, people will constantly complain about a new console when it launches because none of them arrive with good games. The last good launch title I can think of was Halo and that was back in 2001. Trust me, the moment the killer app for the WII U comes people will shut up and actually play the game.

@DITR The Wii U has been out for 2 years, so it isn't all that new. That's probably where most dislike towards the console could stem from.

My personal problem with the console (although I do not own one) is that I don't see myself purchasing many games for it. The new Smash Bros looks cool, along with Xenoblade X and the new Legend of Zelda, but that's 3 games off the top of my head. I just don't see it as that good of an investment for myself, at least not so much as any other console.

You see this is a really good point! If you flip the coin it is a lot of money to buy a system that will only have a few games you want. We have not bought any of the new systems, we don't have the money lol but besides that I just don't see many games on any of them that I would like.

And to be proper I would just like us to own just one system. But yea no good games no game system. It just seems weird right? You would think they would have lots of games to try and make me buy a system.

There are enough games on the Wii U now that I'm ready to buy one.

Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Bros 3D World, New Super Mario Bros Wii U, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. I've had a copy of Xenoblade sitting on my shelf for 2 years now but I don't have a Wii so I've been waiting to get a Wii U so that I can finally play it. Then there's the promising Xenoblade Chronicles X. There are more games that I want to play on the Wii U than on both PS4 and Xbox One combined. Seriously, there are zero games that interest me on those consoles as of now. Kingdom Hearts 3 and FFXV are probably over a year off from release and they are the only "next-gen" games I care about so far.

You can say that again.

I love it. It's already got more exclusives out for it than the competition, and it has the games I both can't and wouldn't want to play on my PC. Everything else I play on PC with mouse/keyboard or a 360 controller.

Super Mario 3D World alone justified buying it for me. Mario Kart 8 is phenomenal -- I can safely say the best game in the series to date (and no, I don't say that about every new Mario Kart). Now I'm waiting for Smash Bros. and the new Zelda, as well as Bayonetta 2 (which comes with Bayonetta 1) and Project X.

While the GamePad is sort of superfluous, I've found myself often playing on it rather than the TV while lounging on the couch simply because it's more relaxing on the eyes for me if I've been working a lot. So for me the off-TV play has been a nice bonus. I can't say it has felt necessary yet, although the games in Nintendoland with a bunch of friends in the same room, utilizing the GamePad, are simply outstanding and nothing else comes close.

I love the Wii U, even though I only have Mario Kart 8, Mario 3D World, and Wind Waker HD for it. There are still quite a few games I want later on. Such as Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors, and Zelda U.

If I had the disposable income to buy a new console, it would be the wii u, hands down. Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Donkey Kong, Kirby--I could go on and on. It's also compatible with all the games which came out for the original wii.

And the reason those youtubers hate so hard on it? They tend to be teenage douchebags only interested shooting things and boobs.

Yeah, sadly there arn't too many RPGs yet.

Let's see, all I can think of is the new Xeno that's not even out yet and Earthbound on the virtual console.

You''ve got a point man, this happen to me when PS 2 first come out, I totally yelled " The hell with these sequel RPG games", when I got Digimon 4, FF X and FF XII, CNK(Crash Nitro Kart), and other sequel games from PSX. They are suck, I know the graphic is better, but the gameplay and story is really weak(not mention the BGM), I remember when I throw up my FFX and begin to replaying FF VII and FF IX, the feel is totally different.

And for WII U I love it, I can play Mario Kart for 4 - 5 hours non-stop. But, RPG Maker took my attention and everything changed :)

the only rpg who go out on wii and out of japan is ''Arc rise fantasia'' because this game inovate the new style of classic rpg it is totally different and mark so much they decide to make it disponible  for english user.

and when Nobue nubuematsu participate it is because the game is pretty awesome. Nobue is a Recognized Japanese orcherstrer

I wouldn't say I love it, but I have one and I enjoy it and don't regret getting it.  Nintendo consoles tend to be one of the ones I end up getting for their staple games like Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, etc.  I always hope for some new entries, but know that even if nothing new comes there will be plenty of the staples.

Right now I have Mario 3D world, New Super Mario Bros + the Luigi one, Pikmin 3, DK: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart, and Zelda WW.  Also Earthbound but that doesn't really count I suppose. Edit: and Game&Wario from club nintendo but I have yet to play it.

I do wish they'd drop the gimmicky controls although the gamepad is leaps and bounds better than the wii mote in my book...I always prefer a regular controller although the gamepad is actually fine control wise just huge...I just imagine how much cheaper the system would be without it and if I would ever actually miss it (Don't think I would).

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
