Finally its out! but just before I buy it, does anyone know what their cliff style is like.

For example

Obviously not the graphics but how you can angle and mess with cliffs, as the original RTP is very limited on how you can use the cliffs unless you sort your own stuff out!

Also is there screenshots of some of the other stuff, as I really want to just see what kind of tilesets n such there is!

(Also is it only buyable via forums or is it purchasable on Steam?

cheers!

Heya Mister Torgue, here are some screenshots from the pack itself:

That shows you some of the tiles, some of the character pieces, etc that are included in the bundle. The cliff tiles are like the ones shown in the picture immediately above this line of text. They are *not* auto-tiles, so are not constrained to the very small and limited 16x16 pixels that the auto-tiles are. These cliffs are not square and have all sorts of angles, and there are some 'decals' of rocks and such that you can superimpose over the cliffs to give them a varied texture so that they do not look repetitive like auto-tiles.

In addition to the tilesets, there are also Steam Machine pieces which you can use to build your own various contraptions which can be used as tiles, or animations if you want. A couple examples:

Of course all of the animations have been completely redone from packs of the past and are much nicer now. There are 8 directions walking, running, and idle spritesheets, as well as pose and side-view animated battler spritesheets. You get to build your own characters, choosing a starting base and overlaying pieces of clothing and equipment. This pack contains over 200 pieces.

In addition to that, you also have the ability to make your own facesets (facesets come with 8 emotions), busts (also 8 emotions, and oversized so you can resize them to what you need/want), and paperdolls (full figures) with the same resources used for the spritesheets. There are also options to build and customize horses and Automatons. There are animated spritesheets for certain objects like doors, fire, smoke, water, etc.

Hope this helps and if you have any specific questions I will try to answer them :)

Right now I think it is just on the forums, not sure when the Steam version would be available.

How ironic.

I've been waiting for this, and it doesn't look like it will disappoint. I'm buying on payday. Between this and Mythos Horror, I'm ready to make something.

Just playing with some of the stuff today.

I would 100% recommend this, the price it's at is a steal!

The character creation you need to use gimp, but it is so easy to do, and I have created 2 full (norm/diag/pose/combat/bust/8face) sets in about 5 minutes.

Recolouring items is again, really easy, open it up in GIMP, change the colour and save as a new recolour - takes 30 seconds.

The tile sets and animations are great and work so well together.

Not got round to actually making a proper map yet (just looked at demo ones) but it all seems amazing! - my patience for this pack has paid off!

Spoiler below of a custom standard sprite **will remove if requested by pack creator**

Yep, a great pack. But what was more astounding for me than the graphics was the included demo with this very unfamiliar resolution. It's not the first time that I discovered a RM-Game with higher resolution than the preached 640x480, but the first time I was able to look into the script to see the resolution settings with my own eyes.

With the High Resolution dll (can find it here in the forums), you can have pretty much any resolution you like (just need a script that lets you define it, like Yanfly's).

I got the dll and I have several hacks too, but I can't see any hack or hr/hd-dll in this demo or am I wrong?

In my Game I have Characters like Neo from Matrix who are changing the reality around them, and who have loopholes in the fabric of their universe they can access by doing uncommon and strange things noone else would ever think of doing. But sometimes people discover those anomalies by accident.

That's how I felt when I discovered the resolution setting in your demo ;-).

Unfortunately that DLL is not available at the moment, because it was an experiment for test and is now revoked to prepare for future publication (in whatever form, I don't know what Enterbrain and Degica are planning with it)

I had heard about a bigger better DLL coming at some point (hopefully), but I did not know that the current DLL was removed.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
