Heya again. I really like the story, it's pretty well thought of, but I am stuck again.
When Lilak asks me to get some item from the toilet, I first went to the upstairs toilet, but there doesn't seem to be anything there, so I went downstairs, and I assume I have to sneak past Blake. The problem is, as soon as I come within 3 paces of him, he sees me, regardless of whether he is facing me or not, and he is moving right around the door and very fast too. I don't think it's possible to sneak past him, unless there is another way to do it. Should I even be going that way?
I just got to the ending and wow, that was some crazy cool stuff. Both visually and story-wise. I like the 3D effect in those last couple of areas. Was that done using parallax backgrounds? And story twists were awesome too. It all just suddenly came together, hehe. And I agree, the game really picked up once those supporting characters were introduced.
I'd say the ending was definitely the strongest part of the game, like the last few scenes, starting from when Lilak and Damon find all those DNAs to the entire basement area. Great job on that. I could already predict though that lead character in some way is a clone, because 36D sounded like a name that would be given to a clone and so I figured 35D must've been one as well. But it was still a nice twist there about what was the purpose of each individual one. That female A.I. character is well sick, hehe, but in a good way, as in a nicely developed villain.
Anyways, I noticed in the credits you mentioned that you wanted any suggestions for improvement of the game and all. I'd pretty much say the same things as I mentioned before:
- Check on the passability of the tiles in the database. X's are the ones you can't walk on, Os you can walk on, and stars are the ones you can walk under.
- The walking speed should be faster I think, because I ended up having to press 'Shift' to dash the entire time and even that felt too slow.
- And finally in some parts it'd be nice to give more direction to the player as to what to do. In fact if you feel confident enough, it'd be cool to have a quest journal in-game that tells you where to go next (you can put a quest journal into the game with the use of one of the scripts, though with most of the ones I came across, it requires a bit of work to figure how to use them).
So yeah, good game overall. I might write a review on it on my blog, if that's all right.
Edit: Oh, just remembered. Does it make any difference to the game's events if you choose different options to the questions that Lilak asks you when you tell her you're not well?

Matseb, thank you for having the patience for finishing the game. Please do review the game, I would really appreciate it, please notify me if its done. . As for the 3d background, it is not parallax mapping, I figured out that its better to use 3d pictures instead, it has more impact. You have a nice point about the name, it
thanks, I hope you also have a wonderful experience while playing this game, like all the players did. Also looking forward to your feedback. Have a happy holidays to you too!
Created this account to praise this game. My friend recommended me to play this and wow! Never was a game that awed like this one. As most of the reviewers said the story is up there with top AAA titles, better in my opinion. When the credits rolled, I was speechless. Ending stucked with me..I mean..space travel probably will be like this game. Game of the year for me.
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
