In my game, there will be many gathering professions/skills, such as wood cutting, mining, and fishing. In these, there will be a set time that you receive a reward (Logs, fish, ores) and depending on a random variable, you will either lose EXP and get something undesired or gain more EXP and get something you want.

However, I am not good with the timer. I don't know how to use it lel. It counts down and nothing happens.

Looks like it's checking if the timer is at 0 before the 5 seconds is over. Try adding a "Wait 5 sec" after the timer.

Two advices :

- Drop that "start timer" and replace it by a simple "wait" command as suggested above. For the random variable and the conditions check it seems ok to me you don't seem to have done any mistake at first look.

- If I were you I wouldn't make the player wait more than one or two seconds grand maximum. 5 seconds wait for every tree is gonna become a tedious experience very quick!

Thank you guys for the help. These aren't going to be mandatory or anything. Just for money/saving. Maybe a few simple quests for low level professions. I actually made it quite different. Now the only problem I have is getting a woodcutting/mining sprite to work. lel Anyways thank you.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
